IDK about that comp. Looney's best attribute is his rebounding - he's one of the best rebounders in the league. That's probably Oso's biggest weakness - that he's a meh rebounder for a center - only a 9.9% rebounding % last year and 11.4% this season. Pretty low marks for a college center.

Maybe these type of scoring guards need to choose which schools they go to better. Many have chosen high pace, high usage teams where they can showcase themselves and get guaranteed playing time but often this leads to inefficient scoring.

I think the main issue with both is that pre-draft talking heads and "scouts" were saying they were 6'5" and the reality is they're 6'3" with average to below average length and/or athleticism. It's odd, almost every single guy (Whitehead, Black, George and Smith Jr.) scouts loved I was down on. Scouts really did a piss poor job of evaluating prospects before the season. The last time I remember them being this bad was when none of them even had Trae in the 1st or even 2nd round in mock drafts.
I'm MUCH higher on George than Smith and still think he's a late lottery talent. George has shown glimpses of being able to play defense which is what separates the two the most for me.

Not me it's not enough offensive upside imo. I guess he could go crazy in workouts and a team falls in love yho.eminence wrote:Is there anyone who’d consider Walker at #2?

Not me. But I can see a solid argument for #3.

Not a guy that’s going to get drafted, but this is somewhat of a college thread as well and the dude is so damn elite at college basketball. Crazy to think he has another year of eligibility as well.
