Re: Trade Discussion 22/23
One guy that I would be interested in in the offseason for the TMLE is Trey Lyles. Not the sexiest name out there but a big that can do a little more then stand still shoot or dunk is very helpful particularly since the one guy that we have like that (Wood) more then likely won't be on the team. Team needs more versatility. Just too many one trick ponies on the team.

Brunson success opened some revisionist history on the KP trade, the truth is, the KP trade had to be done, he has a top guard with him, good forward, and OK supporting cast and is still leading his team to the lottery.
KP numbers look shiny, but he's not a winning player...

If Kyrie stays with Dallas long term, Dallas can become a serious suitor for Jaylen Brown if he decides to leave Boston in 2024.

KP seems to be having a career year. This is the first season in a long time he has played 75% or greater of the games. I still wouldn't want him back though. He just isn't normally reliable.

Brown would be an excellent fit because he actually plays defense. I’m still not sold on the Kyrie/Luka pairing. It seems like whenever one is injured the other is healthy and vice versa. This is a lost season even if they both get healthy because they’ve had zero time to develop any sort of chemistry.

This was a lost season from last july when someone thinked that Frank Ntilikina could be Brunson replace.

Fire Kidd...this team needs a coach not someone who sits by the court letting Players figure it out for themselves

Foe what it's worth and considering how much heat Kidd is getting, I think that type of coach is what Kyrie wants too. He needs to be buddies with his coach. If we get a Steve Nash type who's Xs and Os all the time, Kyrie will get that guy fired on the first month.

Nash has no Xs and Os, Kidd>>Nash, he was horrible in Brooklyn.
This season isn't solely on Kidd, but he needs to go.

Always is. He complains about his role every year. Doubt we trade with NY anytime soon after the Brunson fiasco though. If we wanted Robinson, it should have been last summer but Nico for some reason was not interested in a Brunson SnT and instead forced NYs hand to clear cap in other ways.

Re: Trade Discussion 22/23
I remember the teenager here claiming that Bullock, Green can defend the Lebron-Davis duo. Such a clown like Nico and Cuban. Even Hayward and Washington abuses this team. Kyrie for most of the games is just a luxury version of Hardy. You dont miss him when he is out. You miss $45 million worth of salary when Kyrie is out. Mavs would better keep DFS-Dinwiddie than having Kyrie for most of the games.
Mavs were already a good, tall wing-defensive player short. A decent defensive center was missing. Losing Brunson thing is simply **** up every other move. Panic moves all around.
1- Lets get C.Wood to replace Brunson scoring, playmaking.
2- **** Dragic we dont need him.
3- Seasons started and we desperately need a PG.
4- Sign FACU.
5- Sign Kemba.
6- Its not working, a f'in big poison pill trade with expiring Kyrie deal.
To repair Brunson **** up, Mavs spend all the assets, all the chances to make a move to fix the roster. I'd rather keep Brunson than all those **** up moves.
This roster did not need an offensive co-star. We needed an elite wing player defense. With limited assets Aaron Gordon, Jerami Grant should've been our targets in last 2 years. Mavs had many summers, trade deadlines to find a decent defensive center too.
Nico and Cuban was not able to diagnose what is needed. They made huge Brunson mistake and spend all our chances to fix their mistake. Instead of adding a defensive frontcourt, they even traded away DFS from the team.
All good locker room presence, Luka's friends are traded away. Does anyone remember having DFS - Dinwiddie- Brunson with Luka? Doing all those dumb moves and killing the chemistry while doing it is an absolute mess.

Beai Beoiea. Go back a couple of pages and you can find it.
DFS was never as good as Andre Iguodala but still having him was sth. No frontcourt defense is worse than having great scorers.

Ah ok, I thought you were talking about me.
I like DFS and i liked his years here but his absence can't be our main problem. We can find another DFS for a couple of SRPs.

Unfortunately we don't even have SRPs to dangle.
But I do think that missing DFS has had a big impact. Beyond him being a bigger wing that we desperately need, his voice was strong in the lockeroom. Guys rallied around him when he spoke. It empowered others to play bigger then they are because he was doing that on a daily basis.
I think these kind of things get overlooked. Maybe his stats weren't impressive but the guy did a lot of things that don't show up on the boxscore.

For sure, DFS was the part of the core.
His importance was more vocals and hustler than what he really brings on the court.
Green is too young for that role and Luka failed in this aspect... He is not that kind of leader.
Nobody step up after his departure, this is the big problem.

Mavs should have a Look at Oubre,Kuzma, Myles Turner, PJ Washington this offseason...jerami Grant Will be too expensive...hope that Kyrie recruits other Players(he's well liked in the league)...jaylen Brown would be amazing,Mavs Just don't have the assets
The FO is gonna have to be carefull this season...make some smart moves

1, 2 and 3 are set positions with Luka, Josh Green and Kyrie (if he decides to stay). It's the 4 and 5 that need upgrading to starter level quality that fit how 1, 2 and 3 play.

Green is backup material...he's good for coming of bench, not starting...too incosistent...his defense is also overrated,he Just hustles
