Nothing in Sheppard's history suggests he would do this.
Agreed. No way.
Uh huh. He’s traded a first already and he’s missed on pretty much every pick. there’s no bad decision off the table with this front office.

Re: GT #73: Nuggets @ Wizards 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)
It's true that Tommy traded the #22 for the #31 plus Aaron Holiday. Which is, specifically, not an indication that he would trade our R1 pick for a veteran.
Thus, there's no particular reason for you to guess that he is going to trade a high R1 pick for a veteran.
In fact, I can't remember that kind of trade by any team, can you? Must have been one somewhere along the line....
Still, you are free to "guess" whatever you want to guess. &, sure, he "might" do it. He might do anything.

I agree. I was afraid to write it here -- thanks for paving the way!
Gooden is clever & fairly witty. I enjoy listening to him.

Orlando wins! We are only 1.5 games behind them.

Ideal scenario: loss to San Antonio tonite, followed by losses vs Raptors and Celtics before we face Orlando for the 5th (draft) seed match up

I don't mind Drew. It's not his fault he's stuck with the worst homer Play-by-Play man in the NBA in Baghdad Bob. Drew is also probably given orders to not criticize the team.

Both assertations are 100% true. And it's all on Leonsis, the whole organization stinks top to bottom.

Chris at least is an upgrade over what we had the last 3 years.
Then again, Kutcher did call Ben Simmons one of the most overrated players in the NBA.. and that's aged well.

Here's another thing these homers never talk about because I'm sure it's taboo in the NBC Wash studios, but this roster is fragile. When the real big three was here (Gil, Jamison, Caron), they barely missed games. They were durable as heck for multiple seasons. This roster built around three players who, quite simply, take off games. How many times has Beal and Porzingis decide on gameday that they're not playing? And this is not a new phenomenon...Beal and Porzingis have made a career out of this. They never play through soreness, or mild sprains, or sickness. It's the main reason why Porzingis is on his third team.
This type of stuff needs to be called out by the media. Unfortunately, these clowns are too invested in coddling the Wizards.

Porzingis and Kuzma are actually better than average in terms of games played by "stars".
This year, 56 players have averaged 20 or more points per game. I'll consider these guys "stars" or at least primary offensive threats that a team builds their offense around. Of those 56 players, only 22 (39%) have played more games than Porzingis, and only 16 (28%) have played more games than Kuzma.
The criticism is fair of Beal though. Beal has played just 50 games. 78% of the 20 PPG guys played more games than Beal.

Although I will praise him for sitting yesterday. Hope he sits out tonight as well.

Re: GT #73: Nuggets @ Wizards 7 PM (NBCSW/980 AM)
Beal was an ironman for several seasons in a row, playing over 3000 minutes. I don't buy that he's slacking.
Porzingis has already played more minutes this year than any since his 2d year. With 9 games left, he's 209 minutes from setting a new record in minutes.
This is a non-factor. There enough real factors that it's just a distraction.

Uh huh. You dudes live in a fantasy world. Beal has missed over 90 games in 4 seasons. He hasn't been an "ironman" since 2019.
And lol at you reaching to make Porzingis aka Mr. Glass look durable. It's this line of goofy thinking that separates good front offices from ones like the Wizards. Deluding themselves into thinking their players are durable.

yep. Not the minutes played by the "big 3" but how good the "big 3" are... and that isn't all that.

I don’t think Miller is an upgrade at all. Sucks as a play by play man. Kutcher actually has called NFL regular season games. He’s light years a better play by play guy
