It is amazing that we hang in there with a healthy Philly team, 9-1 in their last 10, and aside for Booker and a quickly declining Paul, everyone else in the rotation outside of maybe Payne is probably never going to make more than the minimum, or at most, 1-2 of them MAY get a short tax MLE type contract.

There are complaints about all losses but our team has no depth, and we are missing 2 of our best 4 players who are all miles ahead of the rest.

Everyone always said we didn't lose much depth with the trade, because they just said we lost Mikal and Cam and got KD and TJ, but as much as I've always loved TJ, he is currently a shell of his old self (and perhaps with an offseason after just coming back he gets back some of what he had), but he is certainly no Cam Johnson. And obviously Mikal was really solid.

But we lost 2 solid rotation players, one very reliable, but both solid 2 way players. Then people never mention Crowder but we had lost him so I had already been talking about how our depth was worrisome prior to the trade, AND, had we just traded him for someone else, that would have given us some more depth.

I am mentioning all this in terms of how impressive it is we are still hanging with 3 seeds (who are close to 2 seeds) with like 1-2 starting caliber players and maybe 4 real rotation worthy players on a good team...without KD and Ayton.

Then people try and blame Monty lol. What he is doing with what we have is pretty impressive.

I'd normally agree except it's hard to look at it that way when we're losing every game and the standings are as tight as they are.

Going to be in the play in before long.

Yeah, but we are losing because we lost 3 core players for a super star...top 5 player who is out. Without him you'd think we'd struggle starting guys that were nearly out of the NBA...along with a bench mostly like that.

And regardless of Ayton thoughts, he is still a fairly solid 2 way C who can give you offense and play decent defense. His energy isn't the same as our backups because of his minutes and playing both sides, being more integrated but he he adds a lot, even when he isn't scoring the gravity helps a ton.

Preach! Suns are losing these games but there’s been a lot of positives from these games. Suns will be crazy good when Ayton and KD return.

I can understand why there is a lot of frustration because we are close to being out of the playoffs, but losing 2 starters is not easy. Overall, the Suns have looked pretty good, even though they’re losing these games. (Just noticed I said this twice, oh well).

Yeah, not sure if you got to the end of my post, but it's amazing how many Monty complaints I see on social media when we are hanging with mostly healthy deep Philly and Sac teams with Booker, old man Paul and a bunch of bottom of the barrel players. They all make the minimum pretty much, except Shamet (who is overpaid) and Payne. And Craig, but he makes less than the tax MLE.

Monty has this team playing impressive to hang with top 3 teams in each conference given who has been out. It's expected these teams will pull away, simply because of talent disparity.

So Monty is far from at fault and more should be applauded for keeping this team in there.

He's got a fair amount of lift, but his shooting form is terrible. I could get my 48 year old ass off my couch and shoot as well as Shamet has this season.
