Yup. I’m off to read my book.

They were out before the game even started.

At least let the young guys get some burn.

Guess who didn't box out and gave away 2 pts? It's tough when this person is on the court, we are basically playing 4 vs. 5

Sigh....

New Orleans came in on a win streak, but they beat the Rockets, Spurs and Hornets, so it wasn't something impressive. Maybe we'll see a 4th quarter comeback victory in this one.

Kawhi and Westbrook are 8-for-28

the rest is deck chairs

Westbrook is a deck chair, let's be real here, he's not a star at this point. Kawhi at 4/16 is the real wild outcome because this is a very rare occurrence for Kawhi to have a very bad shooting game.

plus the Pels are 55% [16-29] from 3 but the problem is the power forward

yeah ok

robert covington forces the TO, wins the challenge, gets the ball across halfcourt, AND gets the bucket

now that's impact

Kawhi was due for a bad game, he’s prone to these occasional duds…we just can’t afford that right now.

It’s no mystery, they’re younger and long and play hound dog defense (sans CJ, but he does his part), and can run you out the gym. Need youth to combat youth.

The PF still generally is quite uninspiring regardless. Deck chairs aren't created equal though. Morris' issue right now is that he shot has been off for some time (previous 12 games, 21.6% 3PT). Supporting players have different ways they can make impact in addition to the basic things (not killing your defense, maybe spreading the floor, giving additional ball handling, etc). Some guys are energy guys, they cause disruption for the opposition, deflections, increase pace, clean the glass, etc. Some guys can get hot and go off for big games. We get the point.

Marcus Morris' only means of actually exacting additional impact to a game is by making shots as well as having the ability to get hot in a game. Morris has had like one hot game this season in like the beginning of the season , and lately he's not making shots either, so he's 100% a grind on the happiness of fans since he doesn't do anything else at a level that would make anyone excited.

Hope Leonard is ok. If he’s injured might explain the bad shooting night. We should have had an update by now though.
