He had an amazing game against MI State. You don't get 19 assists playing bad basketball, but State was giving up backdoor cuts left and right getting caught ball watching. State did

The real issue isn't that he's a really good college PG [he is], it's the fact that he'd just suffered an extremely painful injury that was bad enough that he was questionable to return at best until some idiot on State decided he needed to talk some jive with him and get his adrenaline going just enough that he could manage the pain and get back into the game and steal Sparty's soul.

If this was the NBA he would have been off the court from the moment of the injury and out for the remainder of the tournament

Miami is a crazy team. They have 4 different dudes who can step up and be the man. Love watching them.

Huuuuge let down by Texas. Miami has shown an ability to adjust at half-time that a lot of others haven't. Laranaga is a heck of a coach.

I lost on Texas -4.5, but made up for it winning on the over at 149.5.

No lead was safe today. It was a really good watch... once again. I'm all about this parity. The portal and smaller pool of 1 and done players has been really good for the sport as far as entertainment. I don't want to get into any ethics debates tho.

I also had a gut feeling two minutes into the second half that Miami was going to win, so I quickly put $2.50 on Miami to win the tournament while they still had +4000 odds. Might not pay off, but that seems like good value.

I agree. The parity is fantastic and I don’t mind the small schools advancing at all. It’s basically the complete opposite of college football and I’ve never been less interested in that sport bc you know at least half the playoffs teams before the season.

I made a series of bets [not a parlay] around UConn and Texas because of them being the only two teams left in the elite 8 that were top20 in KenPom Off and Def [19/20 of the last tournament winners fit that profile].

That particular set of bets still looks like it will at least end up essentially a push, but still has close to 2x upside. The only negative scenario for me would be SDSU beating UConn in the Finals.

I highly doubt NBA4Lyfe and myself were the only 2 bettors who thought UConn/Texas would be the de-facto Championship.

Agreed. College Football used to be appointment viewing for me. Every single game meant twice as much as any NFL regular season game, because there were less games (and that's saying something). And if your team suffered a couple bad losses's it wasn't the end of the world as there were still several high profile Bowl Games to play in.

Now it feels like we see the same 4 or 5 teams in the worlds smallest playoff. If your team loses more than once, your season is over. If you're in the wrong conference, you don't even have a chance. The Bowl Games no longer matter because there are so many of them that you can get in with a losing record and the stars you've been following all season don't play in them.
