Dude has to be the darkest player in the league, I can barely see him on my tv. Maybe I need to buy a new tv idk...

He has been good lately in a reserve role, which is great. If he can play 15 mpg off the bench effectively over the next 2 years that feels like a solid pick.

Yeah not to go off too early on a 10 game sample, but it is looking like at 20 years old his absolute floor is looking like great 2-4 defender and solid corner 3 shooter.

That's a guy that will get minutes on any roster.

Had a rough night shooting, but made up for it elsewhere. 4 assists.

Still doesn't turn 21 until the end of August. I hope we stay patient with him, he's going to be the only guy we drafted in 2019 who become a solid pro.

We're Charlotte so it probably means nothing for our success but Thor is starting to look like Thor! Damn those arms and traps!

I don't think we're going to miss Kai.

Honestly JT Thor is a bust so far as well. He kind of has the same problem as K. Jones, oversized body without enough skill to be a wing, but doesn't rebound or block shots well enough to be a big.

JT Thor last year pulled down 5.6 reb and blocked 0.9 shots per 36 minutes. K. Jones was at 8 reb and 2 blocks per 36 for perspective. Mark was at 13 and 2 and Nick Richards was at like 12 and 2.

Thor also has a terrible field goal percentage for a player his size and a bad true shooting percentage.

So you have a tall guy who isn't good at rebounds and blocks. He has some interesting skills for someone his size, but he isn't skilled enough to be a wing in the nba.

His long term role is a 3&D player. Which is still achievable.

Kai doesn't have one.

Also of note: Thor turned 21 in August, while Kai turned 22 in January.

Box score watching ignores that JT Thor looks a million times more useful when he's on the court than Kai.

yeah while Jones will bounce around for the block, Thor will try to stay in front of his man and pressure the shot.

Thor has showcased enough defensive ability and shot making/taking for me to think he'll be a viable backup for a long time.

I think had he gone to a team with a better locker room, he would be looked at favorably across the league

What is even his best ability? He doesn't have one single NBA level skill.

He has good bbiq on defense and can stay in front of his man but it isn't like he shuts people down. His shooting is ok for his size, but he is a below average shooter overall.

He doesn't work as a center at all. The skill level gap between Thor and guys like Bridges, Washington, B Miller, Hayward is massive.

I wish he was good, but it's just another wasted pick on a guy who is a nice athlete, but doesn't have the skill level to play anything but center in the modern game.

that, that is a skill that shouldn't be ignored.

if he can become a consistent 3 point shooter, which footage shows he's at least working on, then he will have a role.
long 3 n D players are always handy on the bench.

:D I didn't think anyone here would care. I'll post my prompts going forward. This is the new DALLE 3 which is really good at following complex prompts, better than Stable Diffusion in that regard
