People just throw all perspective out the window when it comes to Kyrie.
1. They forget Kyrie and KD were taking over the Easy/League before he asked out. They were dominant.
2. Lukas missed quite a bit of time
3. Kyries missed time
4. It takes time to gel and build chemistry which falls back in line with 2 and 3. People forget the Big 3 we’re complete trash to start 2011 and that was after a summer of working together
5. Mavs we’re slumping bad already before Kyrie got there
6. Jason Kidd is their coach
7. They’re not very talented outside of the top 2-3 guys on the team (sounds familiar)
Yeah the Nets were rolling ... and then Kyrie blew them up. Kyrie sabotaging a potential championship teams is always a danger and one of the reasons to avoid him. And yeah he's missed time, but that's another known issue with him. And this is Kyrie in a contract year. This is Kyrie on his best behavior.
Fans get blinded by his ability to score a bunch of points when he's healthy enough to play ... and bothers to show up for work ... and decides to play well. But Kyrie is an active danger to any team he plays for.
And after the Mavs give him a new contract it's only going to get worse.
Mavs may not resign Kyrie
Might be Miami's best option this summer.
How would we get him with no cap space, and remember we would be dealing with Mark freaking Cuban. The only way Mark Cuban would agree to a trade is if it's something so lop sided in his favor, something so unrealistic in the Mavs favor that he is forced to say sure why not. If Kyrie is trade it will be to the Lakers in some kind of sign and trade.
