Agreed Jo should've sat the Suns game and played tonight.

To be fair, though, I think Glenn was still pushing for the 1/2 seed until they took that beatdown in PHX. I'm guessing he has now finally accepted the 3 seed is where they will finish.

I mean, the Cavs have the easiest schedule remaining in the league and after losing this one we're gonna be 2.5 games behind them.

I'm not even sure we're gonna stay third lol

Team played itself. Embarrassing.

I hate being a Sixers fan it feels like we are always destined for the least fun option in every situation.

To be Frank, I would not mind the 4 seed.

I think we have a better chance of beating the Bucks than the Celtics in the sec round.

Don't get fooled guys, Embiid could've sat against Suns, the reality is that he wants no part of Jokic in the altitude, 5 sittings in 6 years is embarrassing, this is intentional.

I hate this franchise with a passion

No way you sit him tonight … it’s like they don’t want him to win the mvp on some **** the process **** or money **** because its just a weak ass move. I get it be healthy for the playoffs but they should have sat him last game or he’ll both…

This is the lack of forethought that has doomed them all my life

I am so butthurt over this **** man. We have no ducking shot to win a chip so the mvp was all I **** had and they **** that **** up too. Docs bitch ass is going to overplay Dedmon and even Harrel and Jokic gonna drop 80 on them and lock it down. ****

I am tired of this **** man. Just want something to be happy about and they pull this ****

They have a great shot to win a title and this game has zero impact on MVP voting. This is a team that hasn’t gotten out of the 2nd round. The regular season is meaningless and everyone knows it. Going into the playoffs healthy is all that matters.

Embiid losing in Denver, unless Embiid had a really bad game and Jokic dominated him, not much of an impact I agree, but Embiid running away absolutely has an impact, especially since it's been so many years.

They won’t be healthy in the playoffs anyway.

Harden already is worn out and the bench being **** means everyone will be over extended anyway

Plus they were healthy many years… and then got hurt in the playoffs

Biid also sucks coming off layoffs anyway

It’s stupid and I hate myslef

He’s not running away, he has an injury and in his most recent game he was clearly hobbled. The narrative of going into the playoffs and not being able to play at 100% because he tried to push through a soft tissue injury in the calf that is easily aggravated, and then losing early in the playoffs again because he’s not 100% is much much worse. Especially since it would be back to back years.

The last two times they played Embiid outplayed him. There is no logical reason for him to fear this game.

Choosing to play him Friday and Saturday and not tonight is quite possibly the most baffling decision this team has made considering how the team has handled his playing time and scheduling over the past 6 seasons.

Last two games in Philladelphia of course, he wants no part of altitude.

An organization that hasn’t made it out of the second round & endlessly whines about regular season awards does not get to use “the regular season doesn’t matter” excuse.

That Embiid Athletic interview is a massive red flag imo. Just loser energy top to bottom in this organization.

Lol I don't think he's running from the matchup in particular. I think he's running from the fact that he's banged up about to play the best team in the west against his main competitor a game that's holding a lot of weight and doesn't want to play hurt and hurt his MVP chances . So I don't think he's a coward but this does make him and the sixers look full of sh*t about not caring about the elusive award.

The organization didn't use the excuse. I did. I don't play for the team.

But who uses the "excuse" is irrelevant. It's true. The playoffs are the only thing that matters. This team has been a 1 seed, a 3 seed, and their end results have been all the same. The only thing that matters is getting to the Finals and winning it. And it's not going to happen when your best player is playing with a bad calf. We saw what happened last year with an injured Embiid. You play tougher teams who defend you better, it makes playing with the injury all the more pronounced, then Embiid struggles because the calf is bothering him and he's not as explosive and he wants to be, he starts moping. We know how that story ends.

I'd much rather deal with some made up BS narrative because a bunch of dorks are butt hurt they don't get to see a matchup they wanted on a random Monday night than deal with the whole "Embiid is soft, is always injured, and they'll never win with him" for another entire summer because he tried to gut out the regular season with a calf injury and didn't allow it to heal for the playoff run.
