2022-23 Season Discussion and Review - the Blockbuster trade and playoff downfall

Twolves / Pels emerging as potential suitors for the 5 seed. Both very talented teams, but I’d def rather play them over the Warriors / Clips. If we have championship aspirations, we can’t we scared of wolves or pelicans.

I don't want the Clips or the Pels. Both teams have the wing defenders needed to bother both KD and Booker and in the Pels case they can send Avocado at Cp3 to boot. I'll take the Dubs, LAL or my top choice the Mavs.

The Mavs are so much worse defensively it's not even funny. And they basically turned DFS, Dinwiddie and Brunson into Wood and Kyrie. Neither guys can defend a chair and I think it's a net negative for them.

With all that said, I'm still worried about Mavs. I know they are playing their worst basketball recently pretty much this whole season but last playoffs is still on my mind.

I would like to tell you all about a big offtopic related to the forum and realgm.
Some months ago I was expelled from here due to the fact that I critized the same group of people Kyrie did (no more explanations needed).
I have been trying to get my account back or a new one for months.
A few weeks ago I was given a new account, unexpecteadly.
Now my antivirus just told me that my personal data is shown, saved and offered in the dark web through a hole in realgm.
I do not know whether the two facts are related, I also do not know whether my data exposed there could be dangerous, although there is no economic data associated here.
But the facts just got my attention.

I've been exposed on the "dark web" as well, every time I log in it gives me a warning sayin my password is compromised. It's been like that for like 4ish years or so, I don't really care though because the password I use here is the only account I have anywhere that uses it and its like the easiest phrase ever. I don't think it's related to your timeout session though tbh.

It's cause of last year that I want them. We need that rematch. Booker and Luka need to go back at it, as do KD and Kyrie. Be a pretty cool series I think. Dubs would also offer a lot of drama and they have a lot of players that our guys don't like as well.

I'm cool with either team. Should be fun.

do what they do on TV shows and send him out on running day-long errands tomorrow morning. Make sure he is at a Home Depot in Gilbert or somewhere looking for a specific type of bolt during warmups. Then lock the doors to the arena so he can't show up for the game.

No one is scared of the Mavs. Some in the forum are saying that they we hope we get the Mavs in the 1st round. I think those ppl who say that are smart. Mavs are ripe for a 1st round loss. Followed by Kyrie leaving in the summer, followed by Luka demanding out in the next 2 years.

Yeah, when I look at passwords, it says a couple of accounts are compromised and realgm is always one of them. So if I really make some dumb posts, it may not be me.

Hopefully that explains some of POLI's previous posts.

The Mavs have been in a funk, and like us, they gave up depth, role players and picks for a second superstar. Given their recent struggles, they could miss the playoffs (people could have said the same about us if we hadn't earlier stacked up a few more wins). But they are also a team that could go a long way if they start to gell.

Like us, they have 2 top 15 players including one in the top 5. Most rankings I've seen have Luka higher than KD. I do think KD has played better this year when he has played though...as he has had unbelievable efficiency.

The problem is Luka has missed so many games with Kyrie out many of them and it would be like us trading all our depth and then missing Booker and KD. It would be nearly impossible to beat anyone.

Not long ago they were right with us around 5 and 6, before those guys were out after the trade. I do fear the Clips and Grizz the most though. Any team that can get really hot from 3 on high volume and has a lot of depth could be trouble for us.

Expectations are higher after they went to the WCF similar to how the Suns made the finals everyone now expects us to win it all or it's considered a massive failure.

I do think the Mavs got incredibly lucky by their players getting incredibly hot along with the Suns having some internal strife along with either illness or covid. It was just a perfect storm and I think if we were fully healthy we would have beaten them in 6.
