Which player looked like a viable rotation player this game?
bstein14 wrote:CoJo was a below average backup PG this year. He was probably pretty close to an average backup PG the season before or maybe even slightly above average backup PG. He's likely a minimum salary guy this upcoming season for a team as a 3rd string vet PG.
My preference is to move on from him, McGruder (who also played well when given minutes), and try to find some new guys for the 12th - 15th spots on the roster. Not sure if Weaver will want to go that route or not as I can also understand wanting to have enough vets on the roster to mix with the young guys.

“Neither” is an acceptable answer.

Yeah he's the problem on a 16 win team.
For **** sake already.
Manocad wrote:Sure. Except that the claim was that Cojo is "absolutely a viable NBA rotation player" and Hayes absolutely isn't. I don't care what anyone thinks about Hayes' viability as an NBA rotation player is; he sure as hell blew Cojo out of the water this game and has many times this year. It takes reaching back into last year to try to make an argument that Cojo adds more to this team.

I’ll be honest I stopped watching full games way earlier in the season, but if “better than Cory Joseph” is the biggest accolade on your nba resume you might want to start thinking of a backup career.

It'll be really interesting to see how he looks next year if he's starting with Cade, Bojan, and a good free agent. Ivey as the 4th or 5th option on offense could be really exciting... especially if everyone around him can shoot.
Ivey is the 4th or 5th option? Who do you have second and third? Lol certainly not Duren. Bogan is a third or fourth option. Ivey HAS to be second option or else we are screwed man. That's why we need Victor or Scoot pretty much. In my opinion we end up bottom 5 again next season. Why? We're the new Kings. We're cursed until we finally get a difference maker like Blake Griffin did for the Clippers and ever since then they've been winning even after he left. But they're cursed in their own way.
We need another efficient guy starting that can put up close to 20 on 14 or 15 shots a night. That isn't Ivey yet, and even though I think he's eventually going to be a better more efficient scorer.... right now at lot of his looks aren't good enough if we're wanting to be a playoff team.
Ideally next year Ivey is probably our 4th option in the starting lineup... and then perhaps the following year he moves up to third option number of FGAs.
A coach has a much bigger impact on a team then a player pf Killians stature, so that's a disingenuous argument, and we also have years of Caseys coaching to look back on as well.whitehops wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Can we have any thread that isn't about Killian **** Hayes?

There’s complaints about Casey in every thread when he didn’t get to choose his roster.
He’s pretty much been given a roster full of pawns with one bishop (bojan) and he’s going up against teams that have a full set of chess pieces. He can’t just snap his fingers and turn pawns into rooks, knights, bishops or queens. No coach can.

We all know you hate Killian. But using Cojo as a measuring stick is like claiming that it's better to have syphilis than gonorrhea.

No.
Overall, Cory shoots better, has comparable assist/TO ratios, gets a lot better when you look at most advanced stats.
What keeps Killian starting is that he's young, "the future", and plays some D.We all know you hate Killian. But using Cojo as a measuring stick is like claiming that it's better to have syphilis than gonorrhea.
Which one's more likely to kill you?
