We’re becoming a team like Indiana who won’t roll over down the stretch even though the wins don’t count for anything.

And yet Indy has sat Hali and Turner out for last few weeks...

For the first time in over a decade I'm happy we're not losing down the stretch. Obviously I know that top 6 lottery odds would be ideal, but winning and building chemistry with our core guys is worth way more than a few extra percentage points.

We've got a solid future with Paolo, Franz, WCJ, Cole, and even Fultz and Suggs. Sure it would be amazing to add a Wemby to the mix, but we're going to be fine building around our core guys now. Paolo has a chance to be a superstar and Franz has a chance to be an all star - that's pretty much all you can ask for to build around for a young core.

The 8th pick could be better than the 5th pick. It looks like it's guard heavy between 8-15.

Yeah but they’ve got gritty veterans like TJ and Hield, and quality young guys like Mathurin and Nembhard. None of those guys are the type to roll over.

The Pacers hung on to beat Twitter’s Rookie of the Year Jalen Williams.

Updated Tank Race

Blazers 32 wins with 6 to go
Magic 33 wins with 5 to go
Pacers 34 wins with 4 to go
Wizards 34 wins with 5 to go

Portland is likely losing out. They're sitting all their players and only play one tanker down the stretch.

Indiana still has Detroit at home. Orlando still has Detroit at home. Washington still has Houston at home.

My point is, how many times is the 8th pick better than the 5th pick? It happens. Great players are drafted between 8-15 every year.

People convince themselves that these meaningless wins are a good thing every year. Its the reason we don't have Doncic right now.

For sure but it makes no sense to prefer a worse pick.

Living in Baltimore I don't get to see them live often so it was pretty fun game to watch live. Cole was great in the 4th. Wizards were on fire in the first half but props to us for sticking with it. Paolo is gonna be truely special.

Other years were different. We have Paolo and Franz now.

It’ll be much more fun here when we can collectively celebrate wins.

Hopefully next season.

The Magic's 20-year-old Rookie of the Year just had 30-12-6-3 on a .648 TS% in a road win, ya know?

But we're losing our collective minds over a 5% drop in odds of hitting a top 4 pick.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It was different when we were winning meaningless games with a core of Vucci, Gordon, and Fournier.

30-12-6-3 from a 20-year-old happened just 2 times in NBA history before tonight.
