Wallace is getting overhyped now. He'd fit fine if we took him and I'd feel good about the pick but he's not someone we should feel like we missed out on if he goes ahead of our pick.

I agree that after a full year of this his NBA outlook is not quite as high as some make it out to be. But, damn those Kentucky guards in the NBA are tough to ignore:

Booker
Herro
SGA
Fox
Monk
Maxey
Quickley

Might as well just sign a cheque for a 15 year career and a few all-star games.

They all scored at a higher rate than Cason (at least greater than 16 per 40), and scoring potential should be the concern with him.

Not really, it's like Jalen Williams being a borderline 1st/2nd pick and rising a lot to #12. Actually, Sharpe, Daniels and Sochan were mocked in the teens and rose from late spring to be drafted to #7,8 and 9 respectively.

Giddey rose from the early teens to #6.

Just stay away from the Thompson's. I feel like they're shooting will be like Killian Hayes, who was drafted #7 (should've drafted Haliburton).

He’s what people thought Davion Mitchell would be.

Davion measured out at 6'2 which should've been a flag.

Jordan Hawkins piece by Dean:

basically hates him as a prospect.

Looks like this guy read my post about how unfair it is to compare him to other great Uconn shooters and put him in the same class

If he thinks shooting is the most overhyped trait he must ABHOR Jett Howard.

SDSU looks screwed, I don't know how Brian Dutcher is going to make any meaningful halftime adjustments against what FAU is doing to him. Dusty May has truly outcoached him so far.

Guess we'll find out how good of a coach Dutcher is.

I was the low man on Mitchell. Never really saw the hype. I think he'll be a solid contributor if he can get to another team where he can actually play, but imo Wallace is a superior prospect even just in terms of size and shooting.

Not sure if anyone’s gabbing about the tournament games, but man there needs to be something done about the amount of whistles.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Wallace will still need time like any other prospect but that’s one guy you target cuz of the 2 way ability. Not being overrated, he just stands out from the rest because of all the pros.

I don't think Wallace is the highest upside pick for us, but I think a lot of people (myself included) like him a lot because he basically checks all the boxes of what we want and need, and he's a deserving talent on top of that.

A guard who can defend both spots, play on or off the ball, has enough size and compete not to get bullied on switches, very good spot-up shooter, high character, team first player.

He's basically a plug and play player from the jump, with room to improve.

In any case, I have zero belief he'll make it to our pick so it's a moot point. Right now we're looking more at prospects like Coulibaly, George, Hawkins, Whitehead, Jones, Cissoko, etc.

The butler did it!!!

That's the difference FAU misses a contested layup and SDS goes down and they hit a long 2 for the win.

Hawkins just made a really boneheaded turnover against Miami. He should have known how easily the passing lane he threw it through could be jumped and it was.

Johnell Davis really played poorly FAU in the 2nd half, missed a few laups.

Return to Toronto Raptors
