Last year at the draft when Portland was looking for move #7, the Raptors wanted that pick, another first and a player for OG Anonoby. Nice played, but Sharpe and another first rounder… plus a player for OG? He’s a nice player, but another in a long list of high quality but a clear cut non-All Star level player. That’s worth a high lottery pick where All Star level players will be available?

Reportedly Memphis offered Brooklyn 4 first round picks for Bridges. Now, those would have been relatively crappy picks but they still would have had to give up at least one good player on top of that. Yikes!

I would argue Bridge's is worth that. I think he's going to be a Top 10-20 player by next season... if he isn't already.

Blame Brandon-Clyde. Paige is damn near perfection.

Honestly, I don't care if we win out or lose out. But it still pisses me off that the games we are winning are road games. The ultimate f-you to fans is to go beat a playoff team on the road, then come home and get blown out in Moda by 30.

top-20...maybe. Not top-10

I'd certainly be willing to trade #5-7 + Ant for him (maybe as high as #4?). I think Dame-Sharpe-Bridges-Grant could be a dynamite perimeter rotation, Nurkic bugs me though

I think you're really underselling him. His growth-track has a Top 10 player quality in his future and I'm not seeing any reason he can't reach that if the Nets continue to have him as their star.

Haliburton
Jokic
Morant
Sabonis
Fox
Booker
Curry
Klay
LeBron
AD
Kawhi
PG13
Ingram
Zion
SGA
Edwards
Markannen
Doncic
Dame

you might be able to argue he's better than 8-11 of those guys byt saying he's better than 18 of them is a real stretch. He'd move up as some of those guys age out but it's worth noting that he'll turn 27 in August so he's kind of in the NBA middle age

I will grant he certainly elevated his game for the 23 he played in Brooklyn but that's a pretty small sample size

I'm not going to bother getting into a drawn out and highly subjective debate over this. I'll just say I have him ranked above a good number of those guys already and on par with a lot of them as well, especially when factoring in age, growth path and dependability from an injury standpoint.

I would love to get him. I could see our lotto pick, Knicks pick,a and future pick plus Simons. Not sure how they make that future pick work though at this point. If they can get Chicsgo to take the Knicks pick instead, then offer 2 future picks plus the lotto pick and Simons.

I genuinely don’t think the Nets would trade him for that. Bridges is about as untouchable as possible.

I can't argue that. I wouldn't do that unless there was a sure fire draft pick this year.

Nope.

Based on the current injury report we will need him just to get to the minimum 8 player roster for tonight's game against MEM:

Looks like it will be Shaedon, Drew, Jabari and whatever 10-day contract players they can round up. They just signed another guy I've never heard of:

Justin Minaya and the Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a contract for the remainder of the season.

In 27 games with the Mexico City Capitanes, Minaya has averaged 12.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.4 blocks.

Minaya went undrafted out of Providence last year.

Plus, I'm rooting for Shaedon to keep putting up big numbers and sneak his way onto the All Rookie 2nd team. This rookie class is looking pretty weak overall, with only 7 players currently averaging 10+ pts/game. Other recent drafts have had between 11 and 18 rookies average double digit scoring.

Shaedon is currently 9th in scoring at 9.4 ppg. In the last six games, he's raised his scoring average from 7.9 ppg to 9.4 ppg. If he continues to score like he has been, he should be over 10 ppg and pass Malaki Branham for 8th in rookie scoring average. His advanced stats aren't great, but how many voters actually do a deep dive into rookie impact metrics when voting for 2nd team All Rookie? Double digit scoring and 8th among rookies should be enough to get him a spot on the 2nd team.
