sometimes some guys have off nights and bad matchups...you need to be flexible for when this happens. yes Niang has won us games this year but he's been off and is target practice on defense...so why is he the first guy off the bench...when House , who also might suck has been better over the last month and plays well off Harden...whereas Niang plays better off Biid imo.

I guess maybe the silver lining is that our bench is so bad, maybe the playoffs will be better when we almost never use them. In the Boston series probably need embiid going most of the game and maybe the entire game if it’s an elimination game.

That won't end well. Tatum or Brown will have fresher legs at the end of the game.

I think that game 7 Toronto game, embiid played like 43 or 45 minutes and we were minus 7 or something in those minutes. I don’t know if there is really an alternative.

And that narrative hasn't changes much since then. Shows you how bad management has been.

the non Biid lineup should be Harden/Shake/House/McD/Reed....and they should try to push the pace. That lineup has two shot creators, and length to switch a lot and cause havoc which allows Harden to pick the defense on the scamble back off steals and blocks.
its not perfect but its a different look that defenses will have to adjust to in the 8-10 minutes needed.

Not rocket science here. Niang is too slow for that lineup and Melton is terrible on the break.
