7/8th means a 50% chance to play Denver in the first round or be out of the playoffs altogether.
Also 9th place is still a possibility (before Jazz game).
And the Basketball gods tend to look unfavorably on teams that throw games... :D

Winning 2 of the 3 will put us in a good position to avoid the play-in.
It would be huge to win against the Clips because of the head to head factor and jumping over them but that might be a tall order after going into OT tonight

Ahead of what was expected. Hoping they finish at 16-7

Tonight’s a loss.

6 seed will ultimately come down to Friday night. We play the Suns at home whilst the Warriors are on the road to the kings. Golden State haven’t won a single road game this season against an above 500 western team. Got to hope that continues but knowing our luck they will somehow win. But if they don’t then it obviously rests on if we can beat the Suns. They look great, 7-0 with KD, but then we’re 7-1 with Bron and the new guys.

Tonight though, I think people should accept that’s a loss unfortunately. The scheduling is an absolute disgrace and quite frankly the coach/players should have called them out for it. How is one team playing a back to back (on the road) whilst the other gets 4 days off? Disgraceful.

No way can Bron or AD play tonight after going 40 last night. And they probably shouldn’t with only a few days left of the season because if anything happened to them - even being out a week - we’d be utterly **** with the play in next week.

Starting 5 tonight of D’Lo/Reaves/Troy/Vando/Wenyen I guess. But again the decision not to sign another big center will **** us up badly unless Bamba is able to play which he might as he was upgraded last night from out to questionable. If he can even give us 20 minutes that would be great.

Hopefully Westbrook has one of those 30% from the field with 6 turnovers nights. Probably the only chance we have without Bron/AD.

Maybe there’s a chance they can play even 15-20 minutes each I guess? Still such a dumb decision to sit AD for that Houston b2b.

As I think about it more, I’d probably sit AD and LBJ out tonight and concede the game.
Then focus on the Suns and the Jazz.
Injury risk for LBJ at his age (and for AD at any age) is too much.
Even with those two playing, chances of winning are low on the second night of a back to back, so might as well rest them.

Yeah, Lebron and AD both playing 40 minutes last night sucks for their chances to play today. It’d be nice if Bamba and DLo were back tonight. That would at least give the team a punchers chance.

I really think they need to avoid the Play in so I will play Lebron for 24 mins, 20 minutes in the 2nd half.
It's been reported that he is trying to build his stamina and this season, he is shooting a remarkable 52.2% and 41% in 0 days rest both highest in splits. For his career splits, he shoots 36% from 3 his highest and a respectable 58.5 TS%.
They can still fall to 8th with the Pelicans getting home court. They lost that one, they can still face Dallas in the 2nd elimination which I dread

Lakers really want the play-in. Gsw 6th and we won't be able to catch up unless gsw loses another game. We'll probably lose to pho too. Looking more like 10th seed.

Kings have nothing to play for and would likely let GSW win just like letting losing easily to the Pelicans.
Mavericks also rallied and won.
Pelicans is very dangerous opponent and can really beat the Lakers. If they lose out , they will likely face Luca and Kyrie. Say what you want about how bad they play defense, Dallas is a potent team .

I wouldn't say the Kings are gonna give an easy ride for the GSW. They're like the clipps. The Kings have absolutely killed us over the past couple years. They would love to beat GSW and avoid them, and play us instead

Well I hope and pray that you are right. Lakers beats Suns and Jazz and GSW losing puts this team in the 6th and avoid the playin.
If not Lakers face the dangerous Pelicans at home, if they lose, they might face Luca and Kyrie after.

We get the 6th spot if we beat the Suns and Jazz, and GSW goes 1-1 in their two remaining (road) games.
I think that would be ideal because it would avoid the play-in and the extra games .
Kings won’t be an easy opponent by any stretch of the imagination though, but better than the Suns or MEM.

A team resting it's key players and we were down at the half? I don't think you can take away much from this game. Especially when the Suns backups played with more energy the whole game.
