I’d love to hear justifications for anyone not saying fire/fire/worse for the first 3 questions.

There is no justification.

They can't rebuild with no assets. There's nowhere to go with this team. I'd be so despondent if i was a Mavs fan right now.

Too good to tank properly and not good enough to become contenders with what they currently have. They have two paths forward (if they want to keep Luka):

A) Trade the remaining 1st rd picks that they have for quality rotation players.
B) Get Luka to buy into a few years of real tanking

Option A seems like the only real option but it's dangerous if they don't get lucky like the Lakers did this last trade deadline.

No team can survive after trading for a cancer.

The curse is real.

Don't they only have next year's protected 1st until about 2027? They pissed away their assets already.

Absolutely abysmal season for the Mavs. Roster needs so many pieces and they barely have any assets that they want to move or are actually valued. Even there pick isn’t guaranteed

Luka needs to learn how to play without the rock a bit. Can’t complain that he has no help when he won’t allow the help to do their job. Both Brunson and KP have all NBA caliber seasons the moment they get away from him lol

Definitely fire the coach and worse off. But I'm actually scared of what Cuban would replace Nico with, he's actually a mixed bag. If he doesn't fire Kidd I say fire him too though

Horrible season, yet ended very comedic by screwing the Knicks and then sitting back and watching the nuclear cry their fans are having

Wouldn't it have been better for the Mavs to have converted the pick to the Knicks this year? They could've then traded their 2025 and 2027 pick and swap rights for 2026 and 2028 for another star player to help Luka and Kyrie.

Not sure how much a 10th pick will help them win now. They could trade the pick at the draft I guess but not sure how much value they get from one pick vs two picks.
