Was thinking size comps and was thinking Mickael Pietrus, but Sidy is an inch taller. To me Sidy's floor is a bigger Mickael Pietrus with passing skills. Whoa, Pietrus was drafted #11 in 2003.

It's the playmaking that intrigues me the most with him

Bufkin really impresses me. I think he can become our Immanuel Quickley.

This team lacks a lot of what Bufkin brings to the table. He can score at 3 levels and has shown damn good improvement in very short order as a player. Nobody would be shedding a tear with Kobe replacing GTJ. Kobe can flat out score and if his 3 point shooting improves, with his finishing ability at the rim we could be looking at a guard who shoots close to 50% from field in the NBA. The potential is there for that high of a fg make %.

Think we need a PG in this draft....Have not been following much this year with the deeper end talent in the draft but if there are any decent PGs with potential i think thats the route we need to go....FVV needs to go and we need a new ball handler/leader

It’s crazy seeing a guy like Jalen Johnson turn Atlanta’s middy season around even if it’s a tiny bit. I vouched so heavily for him and Scottie during their draft year and people dumped all over it. Smooth 6’9”+ do it all wings are rare.

We need guys who can cook and Bufkin can cook, Sidy can't. He can bully his way to the rim a bit but slowly and can't create a ton of separation for himself - we already have guys like that in Scottie and OG, we can't and shouldn't add more, period. It will hold us back. Even Max Lewis fits the mold more although he is further behind in his polish compared to Bufkin. I bring this up because that is the prototype of player we need to draft. Gary ain't it.

Also, a team with Scottie Barnes and Jakob Poeltl and as it stands still having Siakam, along with a guard or two who are even just slightly competent at moving the ball - that team has more than enough playmaking ability. Adding more to it is welcome but honestly it's overkill at the expense of other skills which our team is sorely lacking and are necessary to win games. We have to balance things out to create the right product on the floor.

Not sure how I feel about Cissoko. I like him, but also see a non-zero chance he becomes Stanley Johnson. A human tank who can really defend, can handle and pass a little but can't shoot, and isn't vertically explosive.

I’m not as interested in Cissoko as I was. He hasn’t excelled since Scoot sat. He’s had some good games but has been inconsistent.

He’s gonna be a good one

I was hoping to be quiet about him. That people will forget about his potential, even on his board, and he is available when we pick. He won't be ready right away but he would fit this team nicely.

Kennedy Chandler just got released by the Grizzlies. I think he's a better prospect than most of the guards in this draft, and he still has some skill development needed to be a serviceable back-up. This draft just really sucks for guards, seems like bigger scoring guards that can't play are overvalued by a lot. Get Fred some pro help at back-up, take fliers on players like Chandler for end of the bench, and let the scouts do their thing.

Still hoping we can pick up Jett Howard. We need sharpshooters on this squad.
Jett isn't the best defender but given his size & frame, there's some upside there.
Offensively though, he's NBA ready. He's a mix of Poole & McDermott in my eyes.
From the few games I saw of his this year, I don't recall him creating much for himself but the potential is definitely there.

I didn’t even realize he was playing. Lol.

I think the issue with him was character. Quite a few red flags. And he’s not good enough to look past those red flags.

When you draft a player in that range you’re just hoping he can play in the NBA. You don’t draft them thinking they can replace legitimate NBA players. Lol.

I do like Wallace though. Would be huge if we could get him. Just think he will be gone in the top 5.

All of these high character guys we currently have are doing wonders for us. There were no legitimate character concerns for Johnson anyways. People were worried about him sitting out. Those are the same folks who suggest struggling prospects to….sit out.
