Considering last time he shamelessly tanked a top NBA team with an MVP and 59 wins in the 95-96 season to draw a generational talent and a second MVP in summer 1997 (Duncan), it would be well earned justice this time around if the Spurs fall to draw out at seven or eight.

You’d like that wouldn’t you… And we just beat the Kings in Sacramento in OT a few days ago, so I wouldn’t say it’s a “shameless” tank . Certainly not as shameless as the Pistons or Rockets anyways.

A google search of that term yields 0 result, but I'm sure this poster is privy to a lot of euro execs conversations.

Lmao nobody calls this kid Bustanyama and nobody would ever call a 19 year old League MVP a potential bust. Being productive at such a young age at a pro league is THE #1 indicator of future NBA success. And then on top you also have the physical tools and skillset and it's a nobrainer that this guy is as far away from a bust as any prospect in history.

Gonna be fun when your hopes go to trash. You aren't drafting him.

Probably not but not like it's any more likely that whatever you want to happen will happen either

I wonder what it feels like to move from Paris to Detroit. Mon dieu, where is my boulangerie?

Shocking at first and then depressing. The mere image of Detroit or Milwaukee at dusk on a winter day is enough to give a person clinical depression.

Still, a world class city like Paris to Detroit would be a HUGE step down. He would probably want to get out of there ASAP.

Man you can say that about most of the teams in the NBA yet we got superstars in Milwaukee, Denver, Cleveland, and Phoenix. But I get it it's fun trashing Detroit.

Most of these guys want money want to win they can live wherever they want.

Denver is a really nice city though. Phoenix is literal hell on earth and would not be inhabited by humans if not for the advent of A/C, but it's a well put together city that offers a high quality of life. Now places like Detroit, Milwaukee and Cleveland are just rotting carcasses of cities filled with crime, poverty and decrepit infrastructure. You couldn't pay me to live there.

Is Wemby compatible with Sengun? Maybe play him as forward?

By the way I don't mean Detroit specifically, I've never been there and I have no idea what it's like.
I'm just saying if you're used to Paris there's really nothing like it anywhere else.

And you couldn't pay me to move to LA or New york. Every place has bad areas but detroit has quite a bit of nice suburbs and places downtown. You're acting like he's gonna live in the hood somewhere or a place equivalent to Haiti.

Trust me, i live in Paris, and let me tell you something, Wemby isnt enjoying Paris as much as you would, he's enjoying playing bball and be close to his family ! The dude doesnt care where he lives, he wants to be an NBA player, have fun and progress. For a foreigner, LA, NYC or Detroit its the same, it's the US of A baby 8-) 8-) ! that's a big difference with american/canadian players : they have a assumption, an ideal idea on where they would like to play. For a foreigner, they just want to play anywhere in the League.

Don't know but Cunningham-Wenbanyama would be a terrific duo.

You mean there's nothing like the romantic stereotype of Paris that the French propagate for the sake of tourism. The reality is much more bleak than you're letting on.

Even so, it's a pretty unique stereotype and bleak reality that no other city has. Lots of hard core fans.
