Unless he makes great strides this summer he’s not someone you play if you intend to win. He still has great potential though.

This is where I’m at.

Bol Bol is too old for nba player to be developing. Turns 24 at the start of next season.
Should take time off nba, go in Europe, find some yell-at-your-face-24-7 coach and learn fundamentals of basketball and return in nba in year or two as polished , finished product.

Earlier in this thread I said we should consider WCJ as expendable with Bol's break out. Talk about freezing cold takes. It's easy to fall into the whole unicorn thing until you realize he doesn't really protect the rim which is half the job description for a "unicorn." Bol does a lot of things guys his size can't do but he also can't do a lot of things guys his size should do... along with a few things everyone in the NBA should be able to do. He's a 7'2" SG which just isn't a thing.

I'd keep him around another year as an end of the bench guy just in case he can learn to anchor at the rim, but that doesn't seem likely. Basically I'd give him one more "show me" year but if we can find another high upside developmental guy then he's gone.

Bol is just a role player on this roster.

If Orlando takes a big Forward in the draft this dude is not getting minutes.

5 assists today, nice to see him not being a black hole for a change, but he is still a highly flawed player.

One thing we have learned throughout the NBA years, never judge a man's desire to get better!

I know Stephen A. Smith and other media outlets were quick to dismiss Markelle Fultz after his 76ers day now look at him! He's gotta feel excited about his upcoming off season, to continue to improve at 24 yrs old!

The great ones never stop developing, in theory this is essentially Bol Bol first year playing consistent minutes without injury.
