it's crazy man , we are on pace for like 90-95 points have gotten 22 out of the last 24 points but we have an unstoppable machine chasing us. We're honestly a really damn good team and have like the 7th highest number of points by this match week and it still might not be enough. I am rattled. This is how liverpool fans felt in the past years.

I think pep has lost 3 titles races in his career(iirc) madrid 2012, chelsea 2017(his first year PL) and liverpool in 2020. I cant even imagine what city's PL title count would be if he stayed on for 20 years. If they win every game till the end of the year that's 14 in a row for them. Their longest run so far this year has been 5 which is the one they're on now. someone has to beat them on the way right? right? :o

^^^^It's true. Madrid had to score 100+ goals and get 100+ points during the Pep Barca years to get that title. Even then Madrid's title boiled down to a clasico they had to at least draw in between competitive CL semis which both Barca & Madrid ended up being defeated in.

The biggest source of hope imo for Arsenal fans is if City progress against Bayern.

Seems like Arsenal tried to sit on that 1 goal lead the second half.

A couple of times Martinelli and Saka made runs in the second half and they didn't get much support up the middle or the far side. They wouldn't commit because they're worried about Pool countering?

Yeah I think the players were terrified . We had instances where if saka and martinelli had support couldve had a real chance to score. Saka had that one move where he beat two guys and I was praying for someone to be at the back post and no one was there. Tragic.

Robertson shouldn't have been anywhere near the lino, whinging like a little overpaid girl. Lino was wrong - 2 match ban. Robertson was wrong - season ban.Need to start protecting the refs.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

As if Robertson has been the only player to do what he did...

Two matches? Are you having a giggle? Mitrovic received an 8-match ban for his actions against a ref. And now that it's the other way around you lessen the punishment?

Looks like 538's SPI model also thinks the draw yesterday makes City the title favorite (https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/). SPI is pretty bad at predicting nonlinear competitions like the UCL/EL but is more suited to leagues.

I am not sure how City were not favorites all this time?
Arsenal had @LIV @NEW @MNC with essentially 5 points lead.

The model would have predicted an easy win against Liverpool (https://fivethirtyeight.com/methodology/how-our-club-soccer-predictions-work/) even though both Arsenal and City have dropped points against them this season.

City have dropped points against relegation-level opponents all year. They might win out, but nearly every team they play in the league is desperate for points.
It's time for 5 refs.

If Arsenal dont win the title I'm done with the PL. We've come too far. I will breakdown.

Absolutely the right decision.
To be fair, Arsenal has had a couple of fines for players "harassing" the referee, but essentially every weekend and every game players of both teams are constantly swarming the ref after every decision.

City is on fire at the point of the season.
I don't think they will drop any more points, if everybody stays fit.

They're experienced at this level and they have the easier schedule in the Prem.
