Re: Around the NBA 11
I would still like to see my idea implemented..
It would prevent teams from landing the number one pick two times within a 3-year period and it would prevent teams from drafting in the top four in consecutive years.
Lottery odds would be based on a rolling 3-year average as well to prevent a perennial playoff team from tanking one year just to grab a draft pick and then back to the playoffs. This scenario would obviously hurt the Hornets a little bit this year since we won 43 games last yr, but overall I like this. Prevent teams like the Warriors from going full on tank in a season when Steph Curry gets hurt, adding a top 3 pick to an already loaded roster. Luckily they blew it with the wiseman pick.
This model would hurt the teams from trying to pull the old Sixers, rockets model of being god-awful for 4 or 5 years in a row and collecting a bunch of top three picks, and it would also hurt perennial playoff teams from being terrible one year and Landing a superstar to an already stacked roster. It would help the teams that have been fairly bad for a 3 yr period of time but haven't been lucky enough to draft inside the top three of land the number one pick. And we would never have to see a team luck out and land multiple number one picks in a short span of time like we did with the Cavs
Have yet to see a better proposal to fix the lottery. Of course this doesn't fix everything, but it does address some of the problems.

Bones wants absolutely no part of that. He's lucky Plumdog is mild-mannered or he'd be the latest episode of When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.

Toronto licking it's chops. Dallas and Portland are both going to have top 10 picks that are likely available via trade.

Re: Around the NBA 11
Would you trade Mark Williams for the Blazers pick? (Assuming 5-8 range) probably not.
Sign and trade PJ Washington for the Mavs pick? Wishful thinking most likely.

The Heat are old and need an injection of youth. I wonder how much it would take to trade for Butler?

I'd hate to lose to KD but would be thrilled if the Lakers made it to the WCF

The Celtics are on a mission this year. I don't think anyone is stopping them.

It would be funny if he won a playoff series before Clifford. I don't see Clifford ever winning a playoff series, so he has a good chance.

On 13 shots. Also remember that in the Hornets 2021 play-game against the Pacers, the only three players on the team that didn't seem completely overwhelmed by the intensity of the game were Bridges, Zeller, and Malik.

Re: Around the NBA 11
Congrats to Monk, but he definitely needed a change of scenery...he had growing up to do during his rookie contract which was unfortunately with us. Same I fear with Kai Jones, who needs 4 more years of seasoning (which won't be with us) to be effective. So why draft that guy.
