I like his 3level scoring potential.
Imo one of the most talented from this draft.

This is just my opinion, but I’m not sure George will be that high on our board. He’s kind of antithetical to how the team is being developed. He has the rep for making tough shots, but that’s because he takes tough shots. Cole used to be that guy, but this year he’s really reined it in. Suggs showed big improvement too. Franz, Fultz, WCJ and Harris all take smart shots with a high probability of going in, even if they give up 3’s for 2’s when they do so. Paolo was given a green light to find his game this season but I suspect he’ll be tasked with better shot selection next season too.

That’s why I see guys like Hendricks, Wallace and Dick being to the top of our board. They’re more likely to take shots within the flow of the game and without forcing it up in low % circumstances. That’s what we’re gonna need if we want to be playoff competitive next season.

You missed the fact that he shot a disastrous 37.6% from the field. I wouldn't touch him with a 6 foot pole. The only other college player with that was that poor at shooting in the top 20 was the other lotto stinker Nick Smith Jr. Hilariously, both Smith Jr and George shot exactly the same percentage from 3 (33.8%) and from the field (37.6%)

I'm a little surprised Ausar isn't top 11. He'd be a pretty solid ceiling pick in the 8-11 range. Wouldn't take him much before that though.

I can understand both of what you are saying even though I rated Ausar higher. I think the consensus thought is off on this one. Yet, we do have the 12th pick soooooo.

Did you factor in that those shot percentages went down AFTER they got injured and came back? I mean... after games fans were taking vids of George being put on a walking boot going outside the locker room.

The Magic big board is not pleased with the draft results. I wonder though where Jett would have fallen if we kept going.
