Probably a good chance this will influence who Mitch targets in the draft.

Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, Gradey Dick, Taylor Hendrix, Keyonte George, Jordan Hawkins, Kobe Bufkin, Dariq Whitehead, Jett Howard, Brice Sensabaugh, Leonard Miller, Marcus Sasser, etc. all shot at, near, or above 80% from the line. I wouldn't be surprised if we come away from this draft with one or two of the above players.

Mitch is obviously a fan of Wembanyama.

Should be able to draft a couple good outside shooters in this draft if we keep all our picks. I am interested to see how Mitch approaches the later 4 picks in this draft, whether it is moving up, trading out of some of these picks, potentially trying to use them to acquire a vet. I actually think the draft is something Mitch has been pretty good at despite the nitpicks.

I think moving up will be the preferred option. Targeting teams deep in the luxury tax that need cheap contracts (and will likely prioritize older players) to fill out their roster. The Warriors, Heat, and Lakers are good potential trade partners. Who they target will obviously change depending on what happens with the lottery. A lot of moving parts to consider for sure.

We've come out of every draft with 2-3 players that eventually made the full roster since Mitch became the GM. I expect that won't change this year, even despite the roster crunch.

Would Hornets fans be interested in Nick Richards and #28 for #15?

I would consider this on draft night depending on who was on the board.

Today's rumor, the Spurs are apparently very high on the Thompson Twins and potentially have Amen as high as number two on their board. Rumor cites their ability to put pressure on the rim at an elite level, an extremely valuable skill in the league as the reasoning.

Hornets could definitely use another player who can get to the rim and create open looks for our non-existent shooters. I definitely see the value for that type of player, you just can't surround them with non shooters

either one pairs very nicely with Melo and that ability to get to the rim at will and in transition is my main draw to them

I just want a player who can shoot a basketball.

That goes against the core pillars of the franchise

I like this draft for us in the lottery. It lacks off guards with size that can shoot and defend, but other than that there are a lot of players that could fill a need.

1) Wembanyama and Hendrix as 4/5 bigs that can shoot and play with anyone in our frontcourt.
2) Black, Ausar Thompson, and Whitmore as defensive 2/3 wings that bring a mix of skills.
3) Scoot and Wallace as guards with strength that can play with LaMelo (Anthony Black fits here too).
4) Brandon Miller and Gradey Dick as big wings that can really, really shoot the ball.

The only lottery projected players I don't like for our team are Amen, Walker, George, Nick Smith, and Sensabaugh.

If Denver were to lose in the first round would that improve our draft pick or would it stay at 27?

I'm not an expert on the Twins, so take this with a grain of salt, but it seems like Ausar is the better defender. Amen has generally been more of the on-ball creator of the two, while Ausar plays more off-ball and seemed to focus a bit more on defense. Ausar also had slightly better per possession rebound, steal, and block rates, this season. I'm not sure how much of a gap there really is. Its hard to conclude much from OTE games.
