Delete your account, that would be best for everyone. If he's traded, you have to change your sn again to pretend you're a true fan of his new team. Groupie

But he isn't traded will you disappear for some years again?

I suggested weeks ago that the Mavs should consider trading Luka and I was questioned for it. More and more people are coming around to the idea.

If you believe the reports, the front office is concerned he’s going to demand a trade if things don’t drastically improve in the next couple of seasons. He’s both privately and publicly expressed frustration. I don’t think there’s a way to drastically improve the team. Look at the money that would be locked up if they resign Kyrie. Bertans, THJ, McGee, Luka, and Kyrie would be completely eating up the cap space to a horrific degree. You can trade him now because of his contract and get a haul in return or you can wait for him to get pissed off, he demands a trade, and then the team has ZERO leverage in a trade.

If the Mavs could get an all star young talent, six first rounders, and if a team would take on Bertans and THJ’s contracts I wouldn’t say no.

Why do you say 2011 was a fluke? This is the first time I’ve ever heard someone say that.

I don’t see how you can win four best-of-seven series and it be considered a fluke. Hell, they swept the defending champs. It’s not like LeBron and Wade got injured in game 1 and missed the rest of the finals.

It's short of saying Tim McMahon is just inventing articles for clicks. And McMahon doesnt like Cuban because of ESPN's history with Cuban not wanting to get interviewed.

Then you add Kyrie to the mix, and Mcmahon and Nick Friedell have personal beef with Kyrie. So that's why their stories have angled towards Mavs hate.

Probably i didn't write well, the 2011 squad was a hell of a team. No doubt about this.

His construction by Cuban was a fluke, I can't explain how such an incompetent could build such a team.
Indeed he destroyed the team the next year :banghead:  :banghead:

Brooklyn got 1 first for Kyrie and 4 firsts (+1 swap) for KD, unless you count the seconds as well.
Btw this is way less than what the Nets got for KD, there is no blue chip talent here I'm not that high on both Thomas and CJ, and Dorian has been really bad in Brooklyn.

Mavs FO, led by Cuban, is incompetent, utterly incompetent, from sexual harrasement scandals, and hanging nooses in the AAC, to the actual team building.
Jason Kidd is incompetent, he can't draw a play, can't call a TO, and his press conferences are not only a PR nightmare, but acual violation of league rules, and he is still backed by Cuban.

The Dallas Mavericks as an organization need to clean their house, Cuban needs to step down from all decisions, and leave it to a professional, this will be a commitment he needs to make to Silver to make this stupid investigation go away, and other skeletons Stern passed Silver from Cuban's closet.

Cuban also needs to understand he blew his chances with Luka, he can't build a team around him, trade Luka, prioritize picks and young player over proven players, do right by Kyrie, S&T him to wherever he wants, trade THJ to a Florida team where he lives, and start rebuilding under new management.
Cuban also isn't the sole owner, but majority stake holder, the malpractice he displayed is grounds for minority owners lawsuit, Ross Perot Jr has already proven he's willing to get dirty.

There is no way out from the mess Cuban created, clean your house and get your business in order.

Yep....I agree.
We will be forced to trade him eventually and he is about as close to peak value as he'll ever be.

Cuban has found a way to squander a beautiful opportunity.

OG anunoby, barnes and 3 frps.
Raps lineup be luka, fvv, trent, siakam, poetl.

Mavs trade OG for 2 more frps, keep barnes and start a full rebuild.

Cuban and Kidd deserve a tremendous amount of blame no doubt, but Kidd was integral in our lone title as a player, so I can't just completely hate the guy.

But I still like the idea of a trade with the Cavs. Makes too much sense, Mobley will be a super star and Garland is an all star. Get a pick or 2 as well.

The cavs with Luka Spida and Allen are title favorites.

Yeah those players are just to match salaries, I was just randomly picking guys, they could get different guys.
As far as picks I’d want the Nets picks from the Kd& Kyrie trades. Nets have picks from the Ben Simmons/
James Harden they could add also

Build around Kyrie:
Knicks: RJ Barrett-Randle-6 first-round picks.
Kyrie-Green-RJ-Randle-M.Turner. Use 6 picks for another center and bench. Trade Myles Turner for Wood+2picks?

Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown + Brogdon + 2026/2030 first for Luka+Bertans.
Kyrie-Brogdon-Jaylen Brown-J.Grant-Wood. Use picks + Green for acquiring Jerami Grant

Utah Jazz: Marknanen+Clarkson for Luka + bad contracts. Utah to use other picks to find a second star to couple with Luka
Kyrie-Clarkson-Green-Marknanen-Wood Use Mavs own picks for the defensive center?
I mean, Marknanen played like Dirk-lite this season.

Full rebuild (2027):
OKC: Chet + 8 first-round picks.
Get additional picks (2) for Kyrie-Wood sign&trades. Tank for the next 3 years. Its total of 13 picks. Probably draft 7 first-round picks in next 3 years. See how Chet works out, also Green and Hardy.

Utah Jazz would be happy to send us all their picks if they can keep Marknanen.

Young prospect rebuild (2025):
Wenbenyama lottery winner may pack a solid young core for Luka. Wenbenyama looks like a ready product. For instance, if Houston Rockets get him, then they may consider trading two of Jabari/Jalen Green/Alperen Sengun for Luka.
Orlando drafts Wenbenyama, then they may consider trading Wagner, Wendell, Fultz and picks for Luka.
If any of teams getting sold, a new owner may trade Wenbenyama straight. Both Rockets and Orlando would look very different if you add Luka without taking their best players out.
