I suggested weeks ago that the Mavs should consider trading Luka and I was questioned for it. More and more people are coming around to the idea.

If you believe the reports, the front office is concerned he’s going to demand a trade if things don’t drastically improve in the next couple of seasons. He’s both privately and publicly expressed frustration. I don’t think there’s a way to drastically improve the team. Look at the money that would be locked up if they resign Kyrie. Bertans, THJ, McGee, Luka, and Kyrie would be completely eating up the cap space to a horrific degree. You can trade him now because of his contract and get a haul in return or you can wait for him to get pissed off, he demands a trade, and then the team has ZERO leverage in a trade.

If the Mavs could get an all star young talent, six first rounders, and if a team would take on Bertans and THJ’s contracts I wouldn’t say no.

Then you add Kyrie to the mix, and Mcmahon and Nick Friedell have personal beef with Kyrie. So that's why their stories have angled towards Mavs hate.

I started this thread because of utter lack of resources Mavs put themselves in, with bloated payroll, and inability to improve, the rest of the season have proved much more than this.
Mavs FO, led by Cuban, is incompetent, utterly incompetent, from sexual harrasement scandals, and hanging nooses in the AAC, to the actual team building.
Jason Kidd is incompetent, he can't draw a play, can't call a TO, and his press conferences are not only a PR nightmare, but acual violation of league rules, and he is still backed by Cuban.

The Dallas Mavericks as an organization need to clean their house, Cuban needs to step down from all decisions, and leave it to a professional, this will be a commitment he needs to make to Silver to make this stupid investigation go away, and other skeletons Stern passed Silver from Cuban's closet.

Cuban also needs to understand he blew his chances with Luka, he can't build a team around him, trade Luka, prioritize picks and young player over proven players, do right by Kyrie, S&T him to wherever he wants, trade THJ to a Florida team where he lives, and start rebuilding under new management.
Cuban also isn't the sole owner, but majority stake holder, the malpractice he displayed is grounds for minority owners lawsuit, Ross Perot Jr has already proven he's willing to get dirty.

There is no way out from the mess Cuban created, clean your house and get your business in order.

Cuban and Kidd deserve a tremendous amount of blame no doubt, but Kidd was integral in our lone title as a player, so I can't just completely hate the guy.

But I still like the idea of a trade with the Cavs. Makes too much sense, Mobley will be a super star and Garland is an all star. Get a pick or 2 as well.

The cavs with Luka Spida and Allen are title favorites.
