Re: Joel: unchained.
imagine being this butthurt when your guy already has 2 MVPs lol
I said it but if I wasn't biased I'd vote for Giannis IMO. Jokic is great and really **** good and carries that team but he's not 3 times in a row MVP good imo.... very few players are. No amount of goal post moving or made up stats changes that.

Why lie though?
Truth hurt ?? Check it out yourself
Karl Malone won MVP in 37 wins in the 98-99 season. Lockout year, he played almost every game of that shortened season, etc; I know you’ll have a caveat. But the fact is, you’re literally wrong and it didn’t require much searching to find it.

I’m fact, I don’t think you did any research. The funniest part is Jokic won it with only 3 more wins last year. What a pathetic argument. Go away.

I'm curious why the woke mob is coming for people who don't vote for Embiid, but not Giannis.

If Giannis hadn’t won it two times in a row already, I think there would be a lot more folks looking for him to get his props.

Not me, what is the reasoning of giving him MVP this year and not last year for example? just because Bucks have the best record in the league? Giannis was much better last season than this season, check most stats and you will see.
Last season, Giannis was much better and also Bucks had better record than Nuggets = Jokic MVP
This season, Giannis is clearly worse than last season and Bucks still have better record than Nuggets = Giannis MVP? why?
To me it was always between Embiid and Jokic this season, well Tatum too in the first part of the season, but then his performance dropped significantly in the later part of the season.

Re: Joel: unchained.
the case against Giannis despite his top record is that Jrue was an all star and Brook is a DPOTY candidate. The Bucks are built so well that Giannis gets to feast against bench units and also play the least amount of minutes possible
again I still think he is the non biased MVP because his team was consistently good all year and ended up with the best record. Tatum had a bad stretch; Jokic had a bad stretch; we started 12-12 (Harden should have been an all star too but ironically the media hate for him worked in Biid's favor for once lol) but when he did get hurt during their 16 game winning streak...they kept winning due to Jrue going nuts lol
You can make a case for and against each guy...as such context and history should play a role. Nerd stats isn't enough for Jokic to be a 3 time MVP in a row IMO. He has to win a chip. If Biid does win it, then IMO he is out of the running for future MVPs until he makes a EFC or better yet a finals.
I cannot wait to be done with this topic too lol. After the celtics send us to the dead zone again im going to need Biid to take a step back on offense/scoring as much and focus on other things now that he has the MVP.

Giannis efficiency is down a lot this season, i think Joel is he best offensive player right now by a slim margin.
Giannis has been forced into taking a lot of bad shots because of Middleton's absence BUT, he's also missing his FTs and worsening as a shooter each season.
If Giannis was a good/great FT shooter his efficiency would be thru the rough and he would run away with this, he would also probably be the scoring champion.
I don't have issues with taking him as the MVP this season though, he's probably the best player in the league and a lot better defensively than Joel.

Re: Joel: unchained.
I'm glad that Embiid gets his MVP and he can pivot his focus on winning a championship next year. A different and more rested Embiid serves that goal better. Good to be done with this annual MVP push.

Re: Joel: unchained.
Totally happy for the guy. Funny thing is Joel totally deserves to be MVP over no defense playing Jokic. But this is probably Jokics most deserving year considering his teams sucked the previous 2 years and he relegated the MVP to a stat chasing formula and participation trophy for playing more games. IMO Joel leading them to a 1 seed in the first COVID season and winning despite the Ben crap last year were the seasons he had the greatest gap. Anyhow, glad this crap is over for him. His run the past few years deserves the recognition in the record books as one of the best of this era, and for bringing back the true center

Healthy, confidant and focused. Definitely looking at tough 2nd and 3rd rounds if we get that far, but got to feel good right now.

If that spreadsheet is to be believed... things look very good for Jo.
Congrats to us fans now that Jo can (presumably) let his MVP obsession go and just focus on titles.

He may mean the All NBA teams voted on by Nuggets fans, because the actual teams haven’t been announced yet.
