After watching him predictably go 1 for 3 FT down by 3 in an elimination game - that's just not a superstar. I don't think we should offer him any where close to the supermax even if he makes all nba next season from stat padding

Superstar? Even top 15 was a stretch? Masai got to slash his prices on trades.

Pascal isn't a top 15 player in the East, let alone the entire league. Gotta put these trade chips on the clearance aisle.

Pascal played well enough but ultimately he's best as a high end 3rd option.

Ok. Well, it’s clear we don’t get along anymore. So I’d appreciate if you can just avoid quoting me.

 I bring it back to the argument that was actually discussed and now it's "we don't get along". We had pleasant PMs where I thought we had agreed on things and were cool. For some reason that's the case now.

Yeah, we had a pleasant PM exchange a few months ago. Since then basically every time you quote me it comes across as antagonistic or like you’re trying to bait me into something. Which is what started this conversation. So yes, from my perspective we ain’t getting along mate.

Both our opinions about Pascal can be valid. Let’s leave it there.

I never quote you anymore. Unless you’re acting as a mod and giving me a warning I’d appreciate if you avoid quoting me moving forward.
I know it's an old post but it's hilarious to see someone get this frazzled over a civil argument about a basketball player.

Between this and people getting actually mad at DeRozan's daughter for making noise at a basketball game, the rate at which people get offended over trivial stuff is insane.

Masai might have rejected the rumored trade that would have gotton us Wiggins, Wisemen, 2 1st round picks for Siakam....

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I mean the guy averaged 24/8/6 on decent efficiency while being one of only two capable creators for a .500 team that lost in the play-in...because the role players crapped the bed on a night where Siakam had 32/9/6 on 60 TS% and was a +6 in 42.5 minutes of a 4-point loss. Top 15-20 for Siakam is still a pretty fair estimate and while it's not superstar range, it's the next tier below.

he was literally the second option in 2019

I agree he's not a 1st option but come on, we won the championship with him and Lowry as #2A / #2B

There's no reason a team with a #1 #2a #2b of:

Jokic
Pascal
Lillard

Couldn't bring the championship

We won a chip with him as the second option in his 3rd season. Anyone think scotty's third year is gonna outshine pascal and fred showing out in the nba finals during their third year?

Fred having the best 3 game shooting streak in nba playoff history? Pascal dropping +30 in game one of the nba finals? Pascal scoring the chip clinching bucket? Fred making three 3's in the final 8 minutes of game 6 and out--dueling Steph Curry?

Fact is...if scotty EVER has the high points that fred and Pascal had then he'd be serving well. I'm skeptical scotty will ever have those moments....much less next season.

Team negative out in full force on this thread. We need depth. Nurse doesn’t trust our bench and overplays starters. Pascal and fvv and OG were completely gassed by the end

We've overvalued our pieces. Hopefully this has brought us back to reality.

Pascal is a beast

He's not 'the guy' and never should've been. But he is the perfect 1B player on a contender. FO blew this season and didn't even try to compete.

They should have built a better roster around Pascal... too many inefficient chuckers surrounded him.... and he should not be forced to lead the league in minutes every season...

dude put up 32/9/6 on 59% from the field.

He's the only guy who showed up offensively, other than maybe Barnes.

Siakam was the only bright spot on the team tbh. and ya, his FTs are terrible.

A fantastic role player who is clearly out of his depth as an out and out go-to player.
