Try to sell high on Pascal.

Build around Barnes/OG/Poeltl.

What does this even mean when people say this nonsense?

Build around Chris Boucher while we’re here throwing names around.

You just listed 3 average players that you want us to “build around”. I have no idea what you mean by that so I threw Chris Boucher’s name into the hat as well. He’s a $12 million player after all.

we need a shooting guard, badly; GTJ isn't going to get it done; i think next season we may see more of Flynn if NN isn't here; its quiet pathetic how he has been underutilized & not developed under the Raptors.

What shocking is this?! till 2022, the Raptors were known as a great developing talent team, past 2 years we have moved away from that philosophy, time to get back to the drawing board & address the problems...being in the lottery is the best thing for us

Achiuwa and Banton are becoming much better shooters. I wouldn't say our development has been non-existent. You can't expect linear development every season.

Priorities:
Get what you can for FVV and GTJ in a S&T, focus on guard play and/or a knock down 3pt shooter
Bring back Poeltl on a sub $20mil contract
Figure out what to do with Nurse/new coach

Secondaries:
Cut Thad
Shop Boucher for whatever needs you don't fill with the FVV/GTJ moves
Shop Porter for cap relief too
Test the trade market for Siakam, OG, if nothing blows you away, extend one or both of them.

-New guard/Barnes/OG/Siakam/Poeltl, 6/7th man Achiuwa + 3pt shooter, Koloko, Banton, draft pick.
-Run it back once more with this big core and a new floor general.
-Target a proper guard in the draft.

If it really doesn't work, OG, Siakam and even Poeltl will be easily movable for a full tear down once our pick conveys to SA.
Do everything to rebuild around Scottie.

Problem with all these hypothetical sign and trades is you never get back enough stuff to satisfy people around here.

Example: Lowry, Kyle

Unfortunately most of us saw this coming except Masai and Bobby. We’re going to have to trade some of our assets for weak returns because we were too late. Even if we had a great season we would’ve had to make these moves since it doesn’t make sense to go over the cap to keep this squad together.

GTJ is gone. So much for the Norm trade. What a failure.

We’re stuck in between a rock and hard place with Fred. We don’t have a succession plan and he doesn’t have much of a market. I see him coming back.

I know Pascal had a bad ending to the game last night, but he's still a valuable player and not an easy type player to find. I think he'll work really hard on his shooting, including free throws in the offseason. Scottie has to improve his shooting. Fred should walk or at least get any asset (even a bench player like Gary Harris) in a S&T. A dynamic guard should be our top priority. OG I'm torn on. He's valuable , but I believe slightly easier to replace than Siakam. (Replacement might be worse defensively but hopefully better offensively). I can't see Gary wanting to come back, but could be wrong. Looks like he's lost his confidence going to the bench. Although I can't really see many teams making him a starter. Maybe Dallas.

FO never picked a direction to compete again with prime Pascal or rebuild with Scottie .

Too much hate spewed at the coach and our players who were asked to play bigger then they are n most nights.

This was all on the upper brass.

Best case scenario:

Resign FVV to below market contract (4 years $100 Million with PO for year 4) and look to trade him in January if he doesn't fit well
Resign GTjr to below market contract(4 years $80 Million with PO for year 4) and look to fit him on the bench better as a scorer
Extend Siakam (without All Nba money) and get him on a better value contract. Hopefully another longer off season and improvements will get him to improve his physicality, defense, ft shooting and 3 point shooting. Would be an ideal second option with smaller improvements
Extend OG with the new CBA at his market value (4 years $110 Mill with PO for year 4) and lock him in as our 3+D SF
Extend Poetl at Market Value (4 years $70 Mil with PO for year 4l) and lock him in as our Centre
Extend Precious at below market Value(4 year $50 million with PO for year 4). Deal starts in 2024 July.
Hit a home run on our 1st rounder. Ideally someone young who can be a shot creator for us in the future and match them with Barnes timeline.
Porter comes back to bolster the bench.
I think Lowry gets bought out by Miami after they loose in the first round. He will probably give back about 4 or 5 mill back and look to recoup that on a new deal. We use the BAE to sign him up for a couple years. He doesn't need to play everyday and provides a vet voice in the locker room and puts everyone in their place.
Consolidate bench contracts to get another Bench player ideally who is a shooter. Boucher + Young + Wisekamp + Flynn is about $25 Mill. We should be able to get a good player for that amount. Ideally someone who can create and shoot. Perhaps a team looking to shed money. Maybe we get Jordan Clarkson as our sparkplug? Young and Wisekamp are non-garuntee so we should get some value for them.

Use full MLE for another Bench player. Maybe DiVincenzo off the bench. If we can't get Clarkson then use MLE
Bring Back Ibaka on min contract to provide leadership.
Barton on Min Vet contract as well.
Dowtin back on Min as well.

Our front office loves those PO but gives the players more control and keeps them happy in case they overperform.

Our Front Office goes all in to contend. Yes Salary will be crazy high but we can rebalance it later if we don't perform. With more shooting and a deeper bench as well as everyone getting paid we might play less selfishly and as a cohesive unit. Everyone can go back to their role and focus on the team philosophy. They want to try and win the division especially if Harden leaves the Sixers and Jaylen Brown is traded.

FVV/Lowry/Dowtin/Banton
OG/GTjr/Divincenzo(Or Clarkson)/ RonHarperJr
Barnes/Porter/1st rounder/Barton
Siakam/Precious
Poetl/Koloko/Ibaka

Ideally we get a vet creator off the bench for the dead salary we will be sending out. We have about $25 million going out which has about $10 million unguaranteed. We can possibly take back a player upto $30 million back. Maybe someone like a Tobais Harris if the Sixers are imploding?

Because it makes sense. OG and Poeltl both are great Defenders that can be used offensively. With Barnes you already have the up and coming franchise Player. What you need around that is someone that can knockdown 3s and is not a liablity on defense. Last but not least either a pass first PG or a Rebounding PF. With that you have a sound starting 5 and need to add some usable benchplayers.

Well I guess my point we rely too much on internal improvement/ player developer rather than actively trying to trade for players
