Post#1 » by Pharmcat » Sun Oct 14, 2007 7:34 pm

well guys apparently they are gonna be naming names

so the question is simple, does anyone think some1 from the yanks will be named? of course i doubt giambi shows up.....but what about guys like Arod, Clemens, Pettitte, etc

in short, are you expecting any yanks to be named in the report?

I think Clemens is pretty much a given.

Clemens, maybe Abreu (just a hunch) & Damon (there was an article that rumored he was juicing when he was on boston like in 05)

then again, none could be named.

I refuse to trust the report. I just don't see how a guy on the board of the Red Sox is far enough detached to head this sort of committee. I'd also like to know how each individual player is proven to have used PEDs. Is it just some guy saying they used them, is it some store receipt, or is it something else.

In the end, I think it will name all the names we all expected with a couple extras. So the usual suspects like your Bonds, Giambi, Tejada, Sosa etc. plus I do think guys like Damon, Clemens, Nixon, Millar, Meintkiewicz, etc could be on it as well. I think a good way of judging is by looking at what a guy did 3-4 years ago and then compare it to what he is doing today and if the increase/decrease isn't the type that would happen with age, then he was probably on something. -Jitpal

See I think the list will be filled with guys who are out of the game now. Sadly names I expect that hit close to home are Tino Martinez and David Justice, guys who were just on top and then became just shells of themselves. If you crossed the line to steroids and are still in the game there is little reason not to be using HGH now which they are unable to test for.

I expect it will also be heavy on pitchers. While the home runs may be a down a bit over the last few years pitching absolutely sucks. Guys just look helpless on the mound, especially relievers. I have heard retired ball players talking about how pitchers had been using steroids before it came to football, early to mid 70's to try and squeeze out another season.
