I'm starting to warm up on the idea of Brice Sensabaugh. I understand the defensive concerns, but you could argue he's been a top 3 freshmen all season. He has a 8.6 BPM and an OBPM of 7.8, but again the defensive BPM is a 0.8. He could maybe lose 10-15 pounds and become adequate on that end. He would then have the potential to be something very intriguing at the forward spot. If not, then he's a microwave off the bench.

I guess if you take him you’re hoping for a Paul Pierce type of bucket getter. The defense can be covered up depending on who you’re playing. Say for example you face Philly then he can guard Niang. But a team like Milwaukee or Boston would cause issues because I’m not sure he can guard bigs.

Yeah, that's the player he consistently reminds be off, down to the body type. I'm just thinking he's getting underrated, because not many freshman score and create the way he does. His only real concerns would be defense and playmaking, but both aren't worrisome to me with our team.

Black, Cason, Hendricks, Jarace and reach for Cissoko. Just trade and use a later 1st on Cissoko.

I'm starting to warm up to Black after seeing 6'4 Alex Caruso fluster Pascal Siakam. I can see Black being a 6'7 version of Caruso. Maybe he tops out at 15ppg but that's okay.

I think Jaylen Clark is closer to Caruso.

I love drafting for high IQ players and Anthony Black is a good defender too, but I have concerns that he isn't that high IQ as his turnovers are really high. He really gambles on his passes and it leads to a lot of assists and a lot of turnovers.

I like Black a lot man. I know his shooting is non existent. But if we’re stuck in that 12-13 range we should still take a look because he does so many other things well. He would improve the IQ of this team by a lot.

I think you can work through those things with some coaching as long as the effort, laterals are there.

I’ve come around in Jarace Walker. I just cringe at another 6’8, 7’2” wingspan who needs to develop a 3.

Was looking a little closer at Gueye and he really came on towards the end of the year. In his last 10 games of the year, he put up 17/8/2 on shooting splits of 56/46/63. He finished his soph season with 14/8/2 with splits of 49/28/67.

He's another guy who grew up playing soccer and picked up bball late. He's 6'11 with 7'4 wingspan. He displayed noticeable improvement from his fresh to soph season and he continued to get better as the season went on.

We need a player who can score from three levels, not be in a size or quickness disadvantage, and just have some alpha belief because this team's confidence is shot. We need someone to lead.

Nick Smith Jr. when healthy checks boxes:

Alpha mentality - best player in Arkansas as high schooler and top recruit/blue chip prospect
Size/speed/quickness - 6'5 with 6'9 wingspan and great open court speed and quick decisive moves off-the-dribble
Secondary playmaking - he can and has played point so he is fairly unselfish (role in Arkansas was as a SG)
Catch and shoot - 97th percentile and shows he can play an off ball role more so than a Keyonte George

At Arkansas it was far from perfect but he had two injuries and decided to comeback and it was hard to find a rhythm where he was consistent, but he had his flashes. Musselman opted to reduce his playing time because of the tournament pressure, so he got a bit of the rookie treatment. Black really stepped up in his place and Council was a lock, so it was just one of those decisions.

Long term, I think he has the tools to be a starter in the NBA and would fit well with Scottie playing an Anthony Black type role. His film just pops with his speed and handle - he just needs some strength and get completely healthy:

ya, maybe. Im not sure i wanna be the team that bets on his potential, but the skills/size at pg (6'5)/ball handling are for sure tantalizing.

I agree, he could have kept his college eligibility and while entering his name in draft.
