I could see a scenario in which one of the projected top 4 QBs falls to around our pick and a QB-needy team wants to trade up with us. I'd be fine with them taking a TE they really covet, lower in the 1st, while getting additional draft capital to play around with.

Gutey hasn't done it a ton but a trade down this year makes a lot of sense to me with our current roster, grab as many guys you like as you can and bring them to camp

I’ll be surprised if any of the top four QB are there at 15. Someone is going to not be able to pass on Richardson.

Perspective: Dane Brugler on PFF and they talked about JSN being WR #7 in last years draft.

NFL subreddit mock draft. Packer subreddit voted for Van Ness, 2nd choice was find someone who wants Levis and trade down.

A good thread on why taking TEs in the 1st round is a bad idea

Kinda sucks our biggest holes on defense are the biggest weaknesses in this draft. DL and S are gonna be hard to find serviceable starting rookies in this class.. Even for depth. I’m hoping we find some gems and save the potential splash for cuts later this summer. There’s always good players that find themselves on the chopping blocks mainly because of money. We’ll need to be a savvy team to find a good one. I’d hate to waste draft capital on someone like Bresee at 15 because our DL is so thin and he’s the de facto best fit because of the lack of competition… idk we’ll see.

I agree on safety but there are quite a few DLs I like this year. I currently have
Bresee 13th
Mazi Smith 28th
Benton 32nd
Dexter 33rd
Kancey 35th
Ojomo 57th
Ika 94th
Roy 102nd

I think Green Bay should be able to grab a DL for good value if they want to

Kancey is so quick. Just love his game.

Love Kancey, he’s my favorite but I’m also a Pitt homer lol. Super explosive and strong with a knack for the ball. He just doesn’t fit a Packers profile so I feel like he won’t even be on the radar.. maybe I’m wrong.

I’m not super down necessarily on the DL prospects, I just don’t see any real blue chippers worth high draft capital. I’m not really a fan of Bresee but he seems to be the consensus top guy. I think in any other year, he’s not a 1st round pick so it’s hard to justify possibly taking him at 15 in my opinion…

I like Whyle. Great hands and is a natural pass-catcher. Would be happy to land him in that 3-5 round range.

Besides safety, I actually think this is a good draft for the Packers matching need and strength of the draft.

Edge is nearly as big of a need as safety, and it's very strong in this draft.

TE is as strong/deep as it has been in years.

DL and WR aren't weak at all. WR is lacking superstar prospects but is deep.

OT has good depth for starting caliber players.

This guy in the defensive backfield would be so fun!

Just did a trade down mock because of how the board was falling...Think I traded down three times to add a few extra top 100 picks. Lots of playmaking on both sides of the ball added here.
