Nick is a bigger body and isn't really big with dancing with the ball like Brandon was. The more I watch him charging with the ball downhill, I just think he is going to be tough to stop in the NBA. He reminds me a bit of Jaden Ivey with the size and north-south speed. He just needs to get stronger to start the season. He only played 17 games, so the college film is not who he will be but there were dominant flashes.

For the Keyonte George fans
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I smell a rebuild coming. Time to get the Zach Edey hype train rolling again. Highest ORB% in the country. Stop getting discount versions, get the real thing.

It will be interesting to see his shuttle times at the combine, as well as his 3/4 court sprint. I get volume shooter vibes from him, but I could be wrong. For all I know he might be perfect for the modern NBA.

Zach Edey isn't a NBA player, watching him play a game for one minute makes this obvious. There are lots of full games of his on YouTube.

You thought Brandon Miller was overrated back in December. We'll know soon enough.

I agree, he could have kept his college eligibility and while entering his name in draft.

The Burins starting five have all declared.

Not yet. Adem Bona is still undecided. There’s a lot of noise right now that he’s staying but anything can happen. He likely enters without an agent and returns after getting feedback

There’s also some noise that Clark might actually end up returning. He still has his eligibility

Bona has first round defense. Elite big man defender.

You mean this post?
viewtopic.php?f=32&t=2215015&p=102864466&hilit=Brandon+Miller#p102864466

That post says that Gonzaga doesn't play defence this year. Anyone who watched college basketball knows this is true. KenPom agrees. Defensive ranking of 73 for Gonzaga this year, down from 10 last season and 11 the year before.

To add to that, I am not as high on Miller as many. He will put up numbers in the NBA, but I don't think he will contribute to winning, at least for a while - if ever. As always, I could be wrong, I just watch these guys play games and give my opinion. Feel free to bookmark this post if you want. Sometimes I am wrong.

One guy I was wrong about was Andrew Nembhard. I said he was not a NBA PG because he plays no defence, he is a turnstile. Turns out he was able to play PG for a bad team, but he was one of the top 10 worst defensive players of the year. I will be following his NBA career with great fascination to see what happens.

I’ve probably watched Amari more than anyone on this board

He sacrificed a lot by playing alongside some high level seniors. He started getting into a groove early on in conference play but then hurt his foot

When he returned, it took a few games to get back in full groove but towards the end of the regular season he started showing a lot of impressive stuff. Once Clark got hurt, Amari got more opportunity and basically became the 2nd option for the last 5 or so games of the season and really impressed me

He’s best as a secondary PG (CG) but can run the offense if necessary. Still a work in progress though. He’s got a nice combination of size, athleticism, and shooting. Plays smart and unselfish. Very good defender as well

He’s a really good kid too. Very humble and impressive guy all around. I’ve met him several times and everything I’ve heard from others who’ve spoken to him have shared the same sentiments

I personally felt he would’ve benefited returning for another year since he would’ve been the 1st option and could’ve boosted his stock to the top 10 in a weaker class next year. Right now he’s been all over mocks, mainly in the 2nd round. The fact he declared and gave up his eligibility tells me he probably has received some feedback that he’ll go 1st round. I think he might work his way up to the late lotto with workouts and the combine

I imagine we give him a look, but hope we could maybe slide back a few spots if we were to go for him. Really hope he has a successful career wherever he ends up

Definitely. Great defender, but very limited offensively outside dunks. There’s a high possibility that Aday Mara (likely top 5 pick next year) is joining the team next year and I think that would benefit Adem a lot since he’d be playing alongside an elite passing big man which can make life easier for Adem.

Adem needs to develop some sort of touch and ideally a short jumper. He’s definitely got potential but he needs time

So where are we picking right now? I thought we moved up to 11 if OKC won?

we only move up if Chicago and/or OKC complete the job and make the playoffs. If they don't, we still have a better record than both, so no change.

I'd be happier with Edey than Nick Smith.

Trayce Jackson-Davis outplayed Edey and Hunter Dickinson.

Edey averaged 29.5 PPG, 17 RPG, 2.5 BPG, 64 FG% this season vs TJD. It's really about how they fit in NBA.

TJD does what he does at a high level. I hope some team doesn’t try to make him shoot 3’s
