I've been saying it for a while now but Zach Edey is going to be garbo if some team gives him a chance in the NBA. Not a league he belongs in.

Re: 2023 Draft Discussion Part III
The exciting thing about potentially picking 11th is that there is a legitimate chance Cason Wallace will still be there since teams love size and could take Black off the board before him.
One thing that isn't being talked about enough with Wallace is that he dealt with injuries this year (could further help him slide to us) and you'd hope that when being evaluated it's not something that a team would think will affect him throughout his career. Hopefully he gets full medical clearance.

Drafting him might stop Masai from signing Fred so Scottie should be ecstatic.

He would be fantastic if this was the 2001 NBA draft.
He would go ahead of Marcus Fizer.

Wallace is pretty much who he was in high school. These guys are all going to float out injury excuses to protect their stock. I'm a UK fan and would like Wallace on the team, but he's not the kind of prospect you pray slides to you. Neither is Black. If they're there, cool. If not, there will be equally good or better prospects available.

Re: 2023 Draft Discussion Part III
Cason Wallace is too safe of a pick for me. He will probably have a nice career but will he really be more impactful than a guy like Delon Wright who can be had for the MLE year after year? I don't see anything beyond rotation player or solid starter with him. I'd much rather swing for upside, even if the upside comes with a higher bust potential.

Safe is underrated. Also he's only 19, one of the youngest players in the draft.
Franz was a "safe pick", look at how that turned out. Safe shouldn't = low ceiling.

I'm still high on him but yeah, I don't think he's a good fit on this team at all, especially if Nurse is still coaching and FVV/Siakam at the helm.
Certainly not with the 11th pick.

He's also a Kentucky guard, Wallace could be an all-star hiding in plain sight. Roll those dice baby!

If you're going to bet on anyone, it's a Kentucky guard. They don't miss !

Not me.
I'm aiming for Cason / Hendricks / Whitmore if he slides. Keyonte is talented just terrible efficiency.

Ya, but Franz is a 6'9 guy with a lot more versatility offensively and defensively

I've looked into a lot of the success stories out of UK and almost all of their guards were scoring at a much higher clip. Certainly higher than Cason. Cason had a lot of "Lowrys" this year (scoring like less than 5 points). I don't trust his jump shot at all. It's slow and clunky, but he was dropping them on this year at a decent percentage. This was also a weaker UK team than the previous years where they were landing several top recruits and Cal would just use his NBA connects to get them into the first round. If Cason could have scored more, no one was in his way. But, he's a coaches' dream and definitely a culture type of player. The kind of player everyone here seems to hate these days.

Had a decade long career lol.
Herro, SGA, Fox, Immanuel Quickley, Devin Booker, Tyrese Maxey, Sharpe, Jamal Murray all in the last several years. Sheesh !

Aye man, I'm just looking for a FVV successor or someone that can do pull up shooting. That's all I care about during this draft

We're getting Scoot, don't worry.
