We let Poole drive a lot of the offense this year and even let him try and close quarters because we used the regular season for development rather than trying to win as many games as possible. We would play Poole and curry play together and let Poole iso his way into turnovers and bad shots while Steph played decoy. The warriors know they’re going to need someone take over during the regular season, but hopefully we don’t continue that in the playoffs. I highly doubt that we do unless Poole is hot.
Curry's USG with Poole ON: 30.1%
Curry's USG with Poole OFF: 31.5%
Poole's USG with Curry ON: 21.5%
Poole's USG with Curry OFF: 34.1%
Neither the notion that Poole had more of a priority than Curry with both on the court, nor the insinuation that Poole's presence or absence strongly impacted Curry's primary, are borne out in the actual data. I'm pretty sure this is rooted in selective perception bias, with a few prominent examples of Poole taking over and Curry not being involved as much – but that wasn't the norm at all.
edit: And to expand on the discussions about line-ups. There are three main drags on Curry's numbers. Those are 1) playing in line-ups with Wiseman (small sample, though), 2) playing in line-ups with Kuminga, and perhaps most surprisingly 3) playing in line-ups with both Klay and Poole.
Curry + Klay (no Poole, Wiseman, Kuminga): 126.7 ORTG, 108.2 DRTG, +18.5 NetRTG (667 min)
Curry + Poole (no Klay, Wiseman, Kuminga): 122.6 ORTG, 109.8 DRTG, +12.8 NetRTG (250 min)
Curry (no Klay, Poole, Wiseman, Kuminga): 122.8 ORTG, 111.8 DRTG, +11.1 NetRTG (115 min)
Meanwhile on the other side:
Curry + Klay + Poole: 111.5 ORTG, 115.4 DRTG, -4.0 NetRTG (456 min)
Curry + Klay + Poole (no Wiseman, Kuminga): 110.8 ORTG, 111.7 DRTG, -0.9 NetRTG (383 min) -> still bad
Curry + Kuminga: 115.3 ORTG, 122.2 DRTG, -6.9 NetRTG (459 min)
Curry + Kuminga (no Klay, Wiseman): 119.8 ORTG, 115.8 DRTG, +4.0 NetRTG (221 min)
Curry + Kuminga (no Poole, Wiseman): 116.9 ORTG, 125.9 DRTG, -9.1 NetRTG (254 min)
Curry + Kuminga (no Klay, Poole, Wiseman): 128.0 ORTG, 126.4 DRTG, +1.5 NetRTG (94 min)
Curry + Wiseman: 102.0 ORTG, 118.7 DRTG, -16.7 NetRTG (68 min)
Obviously for a lot of line-up combination we run into sample size issues and thus we must be careful with inferences. But it's pretty obvious which line-ups have dragged down Curry's numbers (which, in turn, affect his impact metrics for the season). Now, there are different ways to interpret the results but for now, I'll just leave them here without further comment.
Yes all the warriors fans know that playing Curry, Poole, Klay destroyed us this season. It's one of the most used lineups and one of our worst. Hence why it's called trying to develop Poole even if it was tanking our season. They tried to create a bigger role for Poole. Maybe he's turned a corner as he's played better down the stretch.

It's the same 1 or 2 posters every thread. Same reason why Eminence left this place.
Even Eminence who is probably closest in his player evaluations to those 2 posters out of anyone and they still managed to drive him away. The mods have given a clear signal that it's fine though so not like we can do anything about it either except for moving on ourselves as well.
p sure that was p4. idk why u goin full rings tho
