Would be great to finally show some dominance and just blow them out and cruise to the playoffs but we all know that its not going to happen.

Ant needs to be healthy and be normal Ant for us to win. If he is, with Gobert back, I think it’s close and we pull away towards the end. As someone said, with our size, we have to own the glass.

Wolves need to crush them in the paint with KAT and Rudy

I think a lot could come down to officiating. If the refs blow the whistle a lot underneath, or whenever SGA initiates contact on offense, we could see a lot of foul trouble. If they don’t, OKC will have to resort to three point shooting (and it’s long rebounds), and then it’s anyone’s guess.

We could really miss McDaniels and Naz against a small team like this. We could have sent 48 minutes of size at them.

I'm always worried about KAT and foul trouble in these big games which sucks. That's not even a though for most other stars, I never worried about a player fouling out as much as KAT, even KAT himself never worried me until the last two seasons where its this inevitable meltdown in every big time game. It's really killed his enjoyability. That said he was great in the first half last game. I really wish the team would make it a priority to clean his game up though because he has;t done enough himself. Its by far his biggest flaw.

He really does need to understand how magnified his fouls are vs other players on the roster. Just like with Jaden, when he picks up a few fouls due to a lack of focus it completely changes his game for the worse.

If it means giving up some buckets, rather than FTs and a foul, he needs to understand that him being on the court is far more important. His OFFENSE is what this team needs above all else, so he cannot afford to pick up low value fouls and take himself out of the game. He's way too important for that.

Here's an interesting scheduling quirk...Mike Conley and Nickeil Alexander-Walker have not faced the Thunder this season. Minnesota's last game against the Thunder was Dec. 16, while Utah's first matchup with OKC wasn't until Feb. 23.

We can't underestimate the Thunder. They had a record very close to our own, they got wings for days, they play with pace and hit shots at a big time clip. They really could blow us out like teams did early in the year by running us off the floor and bombing three's and getting transition buckets. They present some different threats than the Pelicans. We have to find a way to play big because that will be an advantage, if not, we could be toast.

I was way more confident heading into the Lakers game than this one. We lost a heartbreaker and the Thunder have momentum. They may be small but they're incredibly athletic and fast. I think it's a tough matchup.

Rudy Gobert Vs the Thunder this season

23 points, 16 reb and a W
15 points, 15 reb and a W
9 minutes, ejection and a L

As long as our bigs play, We should dominate and win!

Rudy is having back spasms, i honestly do believe though that if he and KAT can stay out of foul trouble and have good games, we can win this.

Shai is a star that can get to his spots, he will get his, but we have to run their guys off the 3 point line and use our height to our advantage in the paint.

I remember Naz had some of his best games against the Thunder as well, KAT needs to attack/decide quick before any double come

Agreed. I have seen a marked improvement in him not complaining since his return. Likely won’t help change the narrative this year but hopefully lays the groundwork for the future. He has to not do the silly stuff too.

The complaining is the most grating but the fouls themselves are a big issue in the postseason. We can't have him being hamstrung because he gets 5 fouls every night. he has to work on his body control, at least he hasn't been doing the foot kick out thing lately so that good but the elbows on offense, the stupid grabs on defense and slap downs, he has to cut that out ASAP but I don't know if he can.

We seem to have many make or break games with Wolves this year. Tonight's maybe the biggest one.

Win : we call it a good season, we will learn how to beat the best team and will go further next year. No one cares if we go 0-4 vs DEN

Lose: franchise is going downhill again and we will be bottom feeder for the next decade. Need to restart everything now. Fire everyone now.

If Gobert could put up the numbers in our previous wins, I like our chances. Those two wins are why we made the trade.

Last year, neither 8 seed made the play offs. It was both 7ths, and 9ths.

However, this year, the Hawks (8) are already in, and both 10 seeds won, when they both lost their first game last year.

Whole new ball game for the #8 Wolves!

I get the sick feeling we'll lose this and I'll have to take the summer off to escape the inevitable whining about Gobert, Connelly, Finch, KAT, the ballboys, cheerleaders, Linda from Sales and anyone else remotely associated with this team by people who can't seem to grasp the idea that they don't actually have to miserably moan about a sports team they presumably follow for fun.
