Minnesota needs to win so I’m not sick to my stomach for a month at the prospect of jumping up in the Lottery.

Not going to watch tonight's game, not worth the stress.
I'll check the box score before I go to bed and be happy/angry for 5 minutes instead of being stressed out for 2 hours.
Can't take another game like the last one.
But if we do lose our playoff spot, I'm glad it will be to OKC who have done everything right for years and got absolutely boned by their stars leaving.
It will be interesting to see what their rotation is.
Robinson-Earl hurt us in the regular season with his shooting vs Gobert, but didn't play vs the Pelicans.
Tre Mann had a triple double in the regular season finale and then didn't play vs the Pelicans.
Giddey and Shai are good. Their role players play defense and are good at their role.
It's very important we keep the turnovers down and keep them out of transition, where Giddey in particular is very good.
Our halfcourt D was very good against the Lakers, but they also didn't have a guard with any quickness like the Thunder do.
It's also a game where the Thunder have nothing to lose, they are playing with found money, and we have everything to lose.
So I expect the Thunder to play really loose and for us to play really tight again.
I hope I'm wrong and our nerves don't destroy us again where we get to the 4th quarter and everyone is afraid to shoot the ball.
Ant's worst plays in that game weren't the missed shots, they were when he passed the ball with 3 seconds left on the shot clock to a teammate who wasn't wide open.
This one is probably going to come down to who can make open shots in the 2nd half.
Any way, best of luck. I hope I'm back here talking about how to beat the Nuggets tomorrow.

Good point and I believe it only happened once when Clippers traded the salary of Baron Davis + 1 st Round pick to Cleveland for Mo Williams + Jamario Moon. That pick had a 2.2% to be #1 but Cavs got it and drafted Kyrie. Wolves end up with the #2 pick and got a caged Lion.
It's not going to happen this year because Silvers already fixed the #1 pick to SAS

This could be it. OKC is capable the could run us off the floor and we are struggling. If we lose this game, especially in a big way, I could really see heads rolling this off-season. Finch could very well be fired, we could be trading KAT. This is a big time turning point for the franchise.

I like NAW in the starting lineup already. I was thinking he needs to have a good game. So love that coach move so far

Why is Towns playing so small? Gobert or Towns go post up on offense.

If we do blow it up we got to go hard on wings and guards. That's the wave now. OKC is really dangerous with all their capable wings who can attack.

Ant is very Kobeish.
Don’t get him involved and in a groove early, his game will suffer. Not a good feeling when the game so far is all entry to towns, entry to towns. We’re going to need Ant in a groove tonight.

I think Naz would be good in this game too. It looks like Towns and Gobert over towering the entire OKC team

We’re clearly game planning for KAT.
Fine.
But it’s pure BS. Based on the regular season and words straight from Finch’s mouth… Ant was supposed to start the primary and KAT would “stand in a corner” more.
I personally feel like Finch is **** ip the team with this KAT first offense. KAT will get his. But push comes to shove, we need to understand that gaurds get you to the finish line.

Ant still looks messed up and he can't dribble to save his life anymore.

If Minnesota moves on from Chris Finch (not convinced that they should), they need to bring in someone who benches injured players. Minnesota is totally broken at the end of this season because he doesn’t take care of his injured players. Anthony Edwards’ ass needed to be on the bench, during the regular season to stay healthy.

To be fair I don't know if we are in the play in if Ant is benched during regular season games this year.

I would have to look back at individual games, but there have been a few games this year where Anthony Edwards has played through injuries at the detriment of the team’s performance.
Last night was the most prominent example, but it’s felt like a trend.

It's base on game situations right? I want to see every play with ball going to Gobert and Towns until OKC put in bigger players. Take advantage of the situation
Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
