Excellent job taking care of light work today.
Hoping they throw some zones at us to help us prep for later rounds.

Yeah, they took away the P&R and we killed them with 3's. My guess would be that the Nets play it the same way and gamble that we can't be that hot again.

They tried with Joel on the bench but their zone was the worst ever, Seth and Harris missed rotations every time

Was at the game today, very professional win. D was solid, Joel was feeling his way around the scrambling double and triple teams they threw at him. Playoff PJ Tucker in his full glory and the rest of the team made them pay for overcommitting to Joel.

The one dooming thing with Brooklyn is that once Bridges, and Dinwiddie sit they have nothing in terms of creating offense to throw at us. The hope will be that they can hit threes and that's not a recipe for winning.

If the Nets can somehow add a real PG, another shot creator and a legit rim protector, they could be very good.
Like everyone else, I suppose.

That was a fun game. Slowly coming around to BBall Paul...just needs to limit the TOs and fouls!

It's difficult that the 3s don't drop because we're getting wide open shots while being the best 3% team in the league.
With Boston that closes out a lot better this can become an issue, but the Nets seem happy to double Embiid early on the play without wings rotating.
The moment they tried single coverage, Embiid went on a scoring tear and i think Embiid can score easily on them because they don't have size.

Boston will mix up more schemes like how Toronto did last season. Embiid threw the ball away a couple of the double teams. So while he’s made tremendous growth handling double teams. He’s still prone to mistakes. Didn’t affect us against Brooklyn. But Boston will make him pay at critical moments.
I do like how embiid is making his decision quickly. Either passing or dribbling. Not letting the defense dictate.
I will be interested if Boston tries to play a Williams plus Horford vs embiid. Like how bucks play embiid with Lopez and Giannis or even Bobby Portis as help defender.
That would help Embiid tremendously on defense since he can sag off Williams. Tucker can guard Horford. Because Boston does not want to have Horford on an island by himself. Marcus smart can also be help defender. Maxey just has to attack the rim if he sees smart try to cheat over.

The best change in Embiid this season is that he has completely abandoned the 'big pump fake and recklessly drive trying to draw a foul' move of years past in crunch time. But having Harden to initiate the offense and him not getting the ball at the 3-point line has as much to do with that as anything.

Solid win. Everyone looks healthy. Should be a sweep. They have no answer to a full strength Sixers squad. You can see why Tucker is a vital playoff piece. Reed has turned the corner. One of the fringe benefits of not calling fouls on Harden in regular season is his play translates to the playoffs. There will be no regression. Just stay healthy is all I ask.

Oh god I really do not miss watching that train wreck. Probably took a year or two off my life from the stress of seeing him almost blow his knee out 3 times a game.

Harden has cut back on the foul baiting as well last season he would exaggerate miss the shot , complain while not getting back on defense

No doubt. He did it one time in the first half yesterday, and I was saying "no, no, James, please stop"

Oh I missed that I thought he didn't complain much in comparison. He and Embiid should stay focused during the play and let doc advocate for them.

Slowly coming around! He was ready at the end of last season. Doc has just been holding him back like some secret weapon. Love his game, and yes I will concede his bone head fouls have/were a problem, but the guy is a keeper.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.
