I don't get why Doris says that was a great look given the time in the clock, i don't care if you're steph curry. He got open but had to do a flare for god sake

Love having Harden and have no complaints… but I would have been 100% fine with Ben for Fox like I was advocating for. He just needed a supporting cast and a running mate to finally break out.

Everything you could ask of an NBA playoff game. Fox and Monk were remarkable, Curry continues to make his case as one of the greatest to ever play, and you couldn't draw up a better atmosphere than Sacramento produced.

Oh man, completely agree. Great look? On one leg with one arm from three? C'mon, Doris.

Watching
Brunson vs Mitchell Steph vs Fox battle
Shows you what elite shot creation on the perimeter looks like and the fact that we are missing that.

Yes he did the same thing embiid got a tech for . He knocked Barnes hand off him after the play concluded.

No no, I mean, do we need to bring up the time we did finish first, and how well that worked out for us?

I think Embiid will eat up their front line & we actually have a decent set of defenders to throw at the Jays now between PJ/Tobi/McDaniels/Melton. As long as we don’t overhelp on defense, I think we can hold up reasonably well on defense.
We’d need a dominant Embiid series but the matchup is far less of a mismatch than it has been in prior years.

My concern is Embiid being the anchor defensively Al horford is going to stretch him out of the paint. Tobi, Tucker and Niang offer no resistance down there . I think Doc will have to go with McDaniels more next round.

Re: Playoffs!?
I could actually see us going to zone more frequently against Boston to prevent Embiid from getting pulled out of the paint. It’ll be interesting to see how each team approaches the matchup.

If his play yesterday was at all a harbinger, Tucker could very well be an x-factor this year, the type of intangible piece we've been missing in the playoffs as well as being the guy that does the dirty work inside. His presence might be the biggest difference in how we can go about defending the Celtics, like maybe guarding Horford to keep Embiid in rim protector mode.

Al and Grant Williams are not good ISO defenders and are most targeted by teams, that Harden or Maxey can cook if they switch. Celts also does not have that scottie barnes-Tucker type tweener who can defend Harden and switch to Embiid. Simply, they don’t have an answer for our PnR. So yeah, they need to double Embiid at the elbow. Biid may get some good looks if they play drop defense.
We are a heavy Isolation offense team. Celts on the other hand..
Spoiler:
Celts concedes 2nd most short mid range and long mid range shots, Embiid and Harden are two of the league’s best mid range shooters.
Tatum is not a superstar alpha scorer that is close to Biid’s level (see my posts and national media talked about this like Windy’s podcast back in march), specially in crunch time.
Personally, I find us beating them the last 3 games.
1st game = we were trying to find our ground
2nd game = Celts started Blake and Blake made 5 3s
Spoiler:
3rd game = we controlled almost entire game; we left Al horford open for 3 repeatedly. Tatum made a low % 3 to win it (he’s just shooting 28% from top of the arc this season). Maxey still not starting
Spoiler:
4th game = we won this but Celts were hiding their cards with Jaylen not playing
Spoiler:

I'm not worried about Embiid against the Celtics. I think we win that series if we can get 75% of what James Harden was in Houston. When Harden shows up, this team is unstoppable.

Embiid is shooting 57.6FG% from the right elbow while only 43% on the elbow elbow. 54% from the FT line area where he do most of his damage.

And down goes Anthony Davis. That guy can't stay healthy for more than one half of basketball. Seriously frustrating to watch and I"m not even a Laker fan.

Yeah, it just sucks. This should be a great series but it feels decided after one half because he can’t stay on the court.

I wouldn't shed a single tear if we got a Memphis sweep.
