Re: NBA PLAYOFFS: GAME 1: (5) Los Angeles Clippers @ (4) Phoenix Suns l Sunday l 5:00 l TNT
There are 3 key reasons we lost this game:
3. CP3 missed his 4th quarter shots
2. KD and Booker had horrible 1st quarters
1. Monty Williams
3 and 2 will be corrected next game I’m not worried about that. I’m more concerned about Monty Williams being Monty Williams again.
Okogie has been amazing as a starter for months but all of a sudden let’s start Craig. Smh lol. Granted Craig played well but why?
Ross has been a great 6th man since coming over. But per Monty let’s play him 4 minutes and play Shamet 24.
I swear Monty Williams is an idiot.
Why the f is Wainwright playing in the playoffs?

Re: NBA PLAYOFFS: GAME 1: (5) Los Angeles Clippers @ (4) Phoenix Suns l Sunday l 5:00 l TNT
We were rolling in the third quarter and I think we were close to breaking the game with 9 points up and playing better and better...but then Monty played that lineup of 4 bench players + Book and that advantage disappeared in a minute.
I didn't like that move from Monty at all. Shamet + Wainright + Okogie + Biyombo (or Landale) next to Booker isn't a good 5 to have on the court in the playoffs. Period.
We have Ross and TJ Warren, they were playing consistent minutes at the end of the season and they made Biyombo and Landale more effective because their offense wasn't needed next to offensive players like them.
I hope Monty changes that because that five was SO easy to defend, it was ridiculous.

I have no problem with dogpiling Monty's rotations, but I have a pretty strong feeling that we'd be complaining about our bench whether it's Shamet, Okogie, Ross, TJ, or Lee getting minutes. We don't have a real 6th man on our roster. We barely have 5 real starters.
Either way, Ish should not be touching the court. We should not be going 10-11 deep when our bench is our fatal weakness. We absolutely should not have a 4-man or all bench lineup on the court at any time, much less in the playoffs. Foul trouble or not, it can't happen.

Monty didn't need to adjust our rotation to the Clippers, we are the better team (no Paul George) so THEY need to adjust to us. We are in the driver seat.
I would have preferred to play Okogie as a starter and don't change anything from our last run in the regular season.
Okogie was playing really well as an starter and he disappeared as a bench player yesterday.

Just play 8 guys. Keep Okogie in the starting lineup. What’s with all the cuteness Monty is trying.
3 guys off the bench should be Ross, Craig, and Payne when he’s healthy or Shamet/Warren.
I still think we have enough to overcome the Clippers and Monty Williams.

The Clippers are very bad team. I just don't understand how the Suns lost to them. JJ has built a championship team three years in a row but the coach is a sad case. Every year, Moronty causes bad blood within the team with various stupid solutions. Who the hell is Wainright and what is he doing on the court when it comes to an NBA Playoffs game. Insane.

I like the decision to start Craig. Go back and watch the tape, he guarded Kawhi very well and Craig played good offense. I would stick with Craig in this series.
I do not like the decision to play Ish, and Shamet. I much prefer Warren and more Ross. Does Shamet ever make any jump shots?

Bro 7% for KD?
F-ing fire Monty. Immediately. That is inexcusable and symptom of a man who really doesn't know how to coach.

Stop it dude. Those two don't change the outcome of this game. Get over it.

I don’t think Okogie being benched was the problem, Craig played really well and Okogie doesn’t have the size to guard Kawhi.

In fact they would have changed it a ton.
Suns are playing very slow.
Bridges and or Johnson had way more cuts and three pointers in their arsenal.
This team is looking lethargic to say the best.
I thought I would never say this, but we missed Cam Payne a lot.

Just like they changed it a ton in that near 20pt loss in game 1 vs the Sixers right?

Kawhi was 13-24 fg 3-5 3pt 9-10 ft with 38 points. Craig was a cone. He did absolutely nothing on defense.
Starting Craig is fine but I’d rather start Okogie.
Shamet and Wainwright should be getting 0 minutes.
Landale should also get 0 minutes.
Play KD at the 5.

I'd say hopefully Monty learned from his mistakes with the rotations in Game 1, but that's not exactly his strong suit. Okogie needs to start game 2 and hopefully Craig can keep up production off the bench. No reason to play 10 players in the playoffs. Warren should be getting minutes and Ross and then spot minutes for landale since the clippers can just hack a biyombo. That game made me drink way too much and now I have to go to physical therapy. FML.

Yeah, Craig played very well but Okogie wasn't playing as well as he was playing, he basically wasn't himself. No impact at all.
Craig on defense couldn't do **** against Kawhi neither. I think Okogie is a better defender but Monty was probably too worried about his offensive limitations.

You can not compare their role within the Nets with that they had for the Suns.
I saw how the Suns played when everyone was healthy befor the Trade and I saw how they played yesterday.
I liked Team 1 more.

Booker's last drive was one of the slowest I've ever seen. And the Suns needed three points, not two. Also, Westbrook was supposed to be a bad defender. However, he embarrassed Booker like Jrue, Jimmie and Luka have done before.

Seriously how long have we been talking about Monty and his rotations? I feel like this has become a tiresome cheap knockoff of ground hogs day.

It's almost insulting at this point.
