Many in here have different patience levels. Question for all. Are you ok with drafting a player who a long term project, like G Jackson and Hood-Schifino, that will sit for a few years or a more developed player with lower ceiling even if they are the equivalent age? Or is it a !just they be ready to contribute year one?

Another player I am finding interesting is Illinois Coleman Hawkins.

6'10-6'11 5/4 player, junior out of Illinois. Appears to be physical, fundamentally sound, knows how to play to his size in paint. Has a nice stroke but didn't shoot well from 3.

9.9 pts, 6.3 rbs, 3 ast, 1.2 blks, 1.1 stls

50.7 eFG%, 28 3pt%

I will look at some complete game tape on him

20 isn’t set in stone. We could also get 18 or 19, it’s going to be decided by a coin flip

No, I want someone that can contribute year 1. Would rather take an older player or a guy who can play in october. Jovic is already the guy you mentioned.

Players selected 1-14 usually have a high chance of being day 1 ready cream of the crop, with some pushed to play of the bench in limited minutes until they get NBA ready bodies. 15-22 You have high upside players that need time to get to playable status against NBA elites. IF you select a 3-4 Year Senior in that range you may be able to get them day 1 ready but most teams 99% of the time select upside in these spots. Then you have the back end of the first round 23-30 this is were those Juniors & Seniors usually get picked, you have a mix of high upside and ready to play players in this range. Miami picking 18-20 means they will have to let other great upside players pass and pick a more seasoned college player whom may not pan out as good. I think if Miami is looking for a more of an impact player here their best bet is to trade their pick for say 2-3 second rounders or 2 late first rounders or a mix of both from another team looking at moving up.

We would be drafting Lively as a backup center that Spo would never ever play next to Bam. With that being said he's going to be a pass.

I'm good on Lively as well, just an interesting tidbit on a draftee

Not sure who I want the Heat to draft as I haven't had the energy to shovel through this class. So far I'm down to go for a hail mary for anyone with boom or bust potential

Not really a fan of Hood-Schifino on this team but I'd be willing to gamble with GG Jackson as a 6'9 scoring PF.

The Miami Heat
The Athletic has the Heat taking Jackson with it's pick, trying to get Jimmy Butler another piece in that system.

G.G. Jackson has often been compared to NBA All-Star Bam Adebayo. Therefore, the move to Miami could benefit the young forward to learn under a team that has made some deep runs in the playoffs the last couple of years with a good roster, which could serve as a good situation for Jackson.

I follow UCF and Taylor Hendricks would be a great fit. 3&D potential with size.

He's mocked around 15 so its questionable if he will be available at 18.

Hes the interior defender Bam needs. If we care about Bam, we better get him some defensive help.

Heard GG doesnt have it all together upstairs.

Bam either learns to shoot or figure out that defense
