So why would the Nets want to trade 18 years worth of draft capital just to become the current past their prime Warriors?

That reminds me of when the Nets traded for Paul Pierce and KG. Except this trade would be even worse with several times more draft picks being involved. They’d be in purgatory for nearly 2 decades.

I bet Kings +1,5 both games. Now I'm gonna bet Warriors 2 games however much they give. Sure win, even if Curry shoots 1-15 they'll win coz refs already know what to do.

The league wanted a golden boy and simply created it out of nothing.

Curry wouldn’t get a shot off in the late 80s and early 90s and would barely be a bench spark for most teams.

30 years following this league and never seen anything so laughable as the Warriors.

Nice one!

Because that is what nets do usually.

let's take it easy...
maybe i watched 2 different games but the team that had an 11-30 record on the road came close to winning 2 times at SAC

The best case scenario is WCF in this season. GSW won’t beat WC finalist and have no chance against east team. So 1st rnd exit and wcf is the range.

I don't think it's over. I think Andrew Wiggins missed a ton of games, I think Jordan Poole looks off as if he's playing with an injury or something, I think the Kings are a very good basketball team. I still think GS can win this series though. Sacramento held serve on their own floor. If they happen to find a way to beat the Warriors on their own court in these next two games, then I'll say it's over for the season.

Last run for the core trio being together but you can still build a team with Steph.

No, it’s over. You don’t build around a 35 year old.

Pretty sure the Laker's did it and got a Championship out of it. My memory hasn't been that great lately tho.

Whoaaaa careful with the bold takes there! Anywhere from the 1st Round to the WCF is pretty much the entire range of outcomes.

It's not even allowed. You can't trade picks that far out. It's called a bad joke.

The Spurs had a first round exit in the middle of their big 3, doesn't mean anything.

But it will be interesting to see what the Warriors decide to do with both Klay's extension and Draymond this off-season

If Draymond isn't a Warriors next year then it's a new era.

What if they don't lose any home games and the series goes to 7 and they beat the Kings in game 7?

If that 35 year older is Steph Curry you do.

Fair enough.

My point though is that they're a very good home team so they're not dead yet, and in a game 7 situation I think I'd favor Curry, Klay and co.

Game 7 pressure might be where youth and inexperience finally catches up to the Kings.

But you can't luck and fluke your way to 4 rings though, no matter how you try to argue against it. I can understand getting 1 lucky ring if you insist, but 4? That's not a fluke.

I wouldn't count the Warriors out just yet. It was expected they'd lose more often than win on the road...

Let’s wait until they lose one at home.

But if it truly is over, what a dynasty it was.

Certainly one that changed basketball forever. Shooting 3’s at an unprecedented volume and efficiency. The splash brothers.

A collective group of unique HOFers.

That said, I’m not about to claim it as over, even if they lose to Sac. This season was riddled w injuries and controversy.

If they resign Klay and Green, and fill in the holes left after the last chip, they can be better next year.

They’ll need to likely trade Poole for some size and add some legit role players.

But this lineup

Curry - 35
Klay - 33
Wiggins - 29
Green - 34
Loony - 28

With the right role players can still win.

Credit where credit is due, I thought they looked like crap this year BUT man did those guys choose the exact right time to exhaust the last of their last bit of excellence and taking the chip last year. I didn't think they had any business winning that and then ripped my heart out.

If this is where their story ends, it was one hell of a story for the history books.

They do have a giant budget.
Having said that, that they've earned everything, including the budget because their fans pay for it and they've earned the fans.
And it's not over.

I wouldn't be surprised if Steph goes god mode like lbj did in that series and pushes this series to 7 games. Anything could happen in a game 7, but yea they definitely need Steph to be better than 9 for 21 with 6 assists and 5 TOs. He's capable of dropping multiple 40 pieces. We'll see what happens.

He is but he also doesn’t normally have Davion Mitchell in his shirt for most of the game. The kid is special on the defensive end.
