Why do so many posters what to be Skip Bayless? Just let the series play out and see what actually happens.

Does it mean a dynasty is over just because the core of the team gets eliminated in the playoffs? Obviously they are nearing the end of the era but not this quick i think. The team was missing its arguably the second best player this season (wiggins), best player missed bunch of games and Poole almost had a season of his rookie version. Klay, Steph and dray all had great seasons individually and have couple of more seasons to go. With right additions to the roster (just like otto potter last season) they are a championship candidate for the next 2 seasons and i think steph has a quiet good chance to win ring no 5. And lastly, Steph is one of those players who will not age until retirement. His competitiveness, durability and of course insane level of shooting will not go anywhere. As long as he is on the team you build around him.
After all, calling the series over would be underestimation and disrespect to this warriors team. They have turned the things around in much tougher situations. They have 2 games at home which will be all about giving a message. And if they take it to game 5 with 2-2, i think they will win the series with that momentum and experience which is built throughout the years.

This feels like a thread that gets bumped until June...

But yeah, if they lose in the first round to the Kings, it's pretty much over. The 2022 title was a nice cherry on top though

That's what makes this such a great place, no? :lift:

It's over, people can't let go. Wasn't go to last forever.

They played terrible in terms of valuing possessions, but they were within single digits in both games.

It's far from over baby. Warriors were awful all season and horrific on the road. Back to back Championships this late in the dynasty is difficult.

Warriors have a chance to reboot this off season with packages involving: Poole, Moody, 19th pick, Sign and trade Green etc.

Can't tell if you're joking or series. :)

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I agree with your sentiment though.

Stop jinxing the beam!

They are only up 2 beams to none!

Bury the Warriors when they're dead.

I don't know if their Dynasty is over, but they are low key an unlikeable team now. When they first came up I think people loved that they played differently, had a nice superstar in Curry, had home grown talent and built their roster up to a Championship team.

Now after years of winning and being in the spotlight, we see how much of a dirty player/petulant child Green is, see how much of a sore loser that Klay is, some people don't like Iggy and how he did Memphis dirty, Poole being a bit of a primadonna, Lamb rape allegations, Kerr's holier-than-thou hypocrisy shtick.

They have that you either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain vibe now.

Kyrie and Love injured in the first finals against the Cavs, then signing KD to win two more and the last against the young Celtics.
:noway: :noway:

Warriors winning 4 is the same as Nash being gifted 2 MVPs back to back.

Last run for the core trio being together but you can still build a team with Steph.

It’s not over - Steph too damn good- retool with Wigs, Curry and Possibly Poole- get Dray out and replace him with talent and they back in the mix

Klay also can’t be your second best scoring threat anymore

A team down 0:2 in a playoff series --> Realgm kneejerk thread.

I've seen this every year since I joined this board in 2015.

Kings have 93% chance of success. People who complain about hot takes or whatever need a statistical reality check.
