This run isn’t impressive at all quite honestly. Suns played 10/10 and Clippers basically stopped caring. The fact it took Suns playing perfect just to tie the game up isn’t impressive cause I know they can’t do it like this for a full game (which is understandable).

Let’s see what happens in 2nd half.

Also, as much **** as I give Ayton (rightfully imo) he was the turning point on the comeback. Good screens on KD, his defense went from nonexistent to decent and he was money with the middies. Again, please play at lest 80% as well in the next half.

Lue will obviously and its up to KD and Book to carry this team in spite of Monty.

Credit to Ayton’s shotmaking keeping us afloat for a while but he is totally unfelt on the defensive end. He needs to be a force but nobody is scared of driving into him.

For the life of me I'm lost as to how they're not attacking him on offense. He's a turnstile.

Captain Obvious here: The Suns lack identity and leadership right now. It's not Durant's team yet and clearly he is not a guy to make a team "his team." This was Booker's team, but he's more of a wannabe Alpha than a real one and Paul doesn't have the game any more to put the team on his back as a player or a leader.

The worst part is that I didn't see this coming. I thought the Suns would at least fight in this series based on the egg they laid last year. I thought they would want to prove their backers right and make a serious, competitive run, even after not being together for long. From Captain Obvious to Debbie Downer in seven sentences, I suppose.

Worth pointing out that the Clippers switching and zone defense throws away of all CP3 led sets - the double drag, the spain PnRs etc.

The obvious counter to that is to let Book and KD screening for each - you'll get some sort of a mismatch on every possession.

CP3 can play as a spot up guy. Okogie should be the other guy at the corner waiting to shoot or crash the glass hard, like he usually does.

Okogie off the bench is not as effective, because then you're worried that you don't have enough shooting.

We built like 20 games of chemistry with Okogie as a starter. Why the hell did Monty decide to just chuck that away?

This anti moreyball thing wont last long.
If we keep trying to outscore dudes in a brute force way, we'll just be hammered by those odds.
its nos like we have prob the best scorer of all time. THERE's no need to force anything on him.
Just let the game flow and find him open for 3's.

For as much slack that DA catches around here the real POS is CP3. That guys is a complete waste of a roster spot.

The whole Shamet thing should have been addressed a long time ago. He does nothing out there and is getting 10 million a year

Should have signed somebody wise beside Ish

Sorry Ish but they needed more guard depth

ShamPayne are just not reliable

Durant and Booker need to play a lot of the second half

Booker and KD are gonna have to play the entire second half.

That’s crazy man. We’re barely in the 1st round and this is barely the 2nd game.

Its weird because our bench was running hot when we WERE NOT PLAYING SHAMET
suddenly Ross and TJ are unplayable and payne is injured. (and ofc we cant use saben lee bc he's a two way contract)
terrible scenario to our 'autolines' man to solve.
