Is anyone else rooting for the Kings?

I'd love to see the KIngs beat the W's and send them back to Oakland gasping for air. Rooting big time for Sabonis, still love the guy! 8-)

I was wondering the same thing, especially as someone who is a fan of a team in a similar situation as Indiana was in with the Sabonis/Turner pairing. How are you feeling about the trade today? Still feel good about the value, even though Sacramento had more immediate success?

Oh, in love with the trade. Hali is that dude for us. It's great that Sabonis is elevating Sacramento, but he was the same player here and no one nationally cared. We absolutely needed to split up Myles/Sabonis and add a pure PG, and we did it. Love it.

As I said initially, I wonder if Minnesota is now entering the same place you were in, where Towns needs a new opportunity and we have other needs.

I still like the trade, actually like it better than when it came off. Buddy Hield has turned out to be a really good player much better than the salary ballast I thought he was. Haliburton is going to be a huge star and I personally love the kid.

I do miss Sabonis but the trade is a fair one at this point. The Kings are better but there's more going on there than just this trade, getting Huerter from the Hawks was a streal, and you got Murray in the draft, he was the guy I wanted. Barnes is a solid player and you have Fox who has benefited greatly from playing with Sabonis. The trade and other moves balanced the Kings and made them a good team.

We're a year or two behind depending on how this off season works out and how some of our guys develop.

Ok you're talking about the Gobert/Towns thing now. Yeah that is a mess, I hated the trade when it happened and hate it more now. Massive over pay for Gobert who to me seems to be a giant knuckle head and he will be 31 yrs old in June.

I'd say the Wolves have to trade one or the other, they could get more for Towns, but that's a tough call to make.

I think Indianapolis still loves Sabonis even though getting Haliburton was great. would do the trade again 100 times out of 100 but I sure want the Kings to win this series.

I would agree with the general sentiment that I love the trade, but I'm still rooting for Domas.

I think people view the Turbonis pairing as some giant flop when the real problem for Indy the whole time was injuries.

Sabonis arrived with Dipo in the 17/18 season. That season was super fun with Oladipo breaking out. The team lost in 7 to LeBron in the first round and I think there's even an ignored goaltending call I can think back on as a reason they couldn't get through. 48 wins and 7 playoff games.

In the 18/19 season, Victor got hurt, but the team still won the same number of games but had no playoff firepower. 48 wins and 4 playoff games.

In the 19/20 season, we traded for Brogdon, Dipo was still mostly out and Sabonis really broke out. This is the bubble year and I think it gets forgotten that Indy would have hosted their playoff series against the Heat. We were the 4 seed, but Sabonis got plantar fasciitis in the bubble and we got swept without him by a team that made the finals. 45 wins and 4 playoff games.

The wheels came off after that, but at that point we were playing Justin Holiday and Oshae Brisset big minutes owing to all the missed games.

The "twin towers" we had didn't have some great run, but I don't think they were the issue. We didn't need them to be the main pieces on the team if other guys had stayed healthy. I think the Wolves could have a similar situation if Ant is the engine. Gobert and KAT don't have to be the two most important players.

@Klomp
What is it with Ainge fleecing the Timberwolves?

Didn't they also basically gift him Garnett?
