Refs will help them as always. Kings lose by 35 points and 48 points in next two games.

Anything could happen in a game 7, but yea they definitely need Steph to be better than 9 for 21 with 6 assists and 5 TOs. He's capable of dropping multiple 40 pieces. We'll see what happens.
Even if they win all their home games, winning one at Arco seems like a stretch for them given how bad they've been on the road this year and how loud Arco is.
All it takes is one injury to a kings player and the warriors could win game 7 on the road. People act like injuries are rare, but they are very common.
Maybe, but facing the 2nd best road team in the league, it's much more statistically plausible that the Kings take one of the Warriors home games and close this series early than the Warriors winning 4 of the next 5 games in this series.

Last run for the core trio being together but you can still build a team with Steph.
They may tray to retool, but it won't work. Not saying they should trade Steph, but they can let him know they're going young and blowing it up this summer and he can decide what he wants to do (stay, ask for a trade, retire).
There is literally zero chance of that happening. Nobody is blowing anything up as long as Curry is healthy and playing still playing at the highest level.
Outside of drafting Wiseman that organization hasn't made too many bad moves, and even that move was as direct result of Curry having a season ending injury. If he his healthy, they will retool and that starts with chopping off the dead wood in Green, then Klay and Poole in that order.
They haven’t made many bad moves? That Poole contract is horrific.
Also, trying to sweep the Wiseman pick under the rug is fun. That wasn’t just whiffing on a trade or a FA signing not working out lol. They had a #2 pick they could have done anything with, instead they picked it for a player who didn’t pan out and moved for a player they had let leave in FA. That’s not a small miss and exposes a lack of scouting.
But oh yeah… they’re “light years ahead”. The hubris of this franchise from top to bottom is ridiculous. The Spurs are the closest analog to the Warriors and you didn’t hear RC Buford out there spouting off how much better they are than everyone else, they let their product show it.

Poole and Kuminga can definitely get better, but I don't know if it's enough to make a difference in their defense.
Yeah Klay's defense has been a noted issue. Last playoffs we were actually better with him off the court (on/off -11.7), hard to say that but it's true -- we needed GPII's defense more than Klay's offense.
What's weird is that our defense at home has actually been great, really highly rated. I can't quite put together why this is vs. away.DoctorX wrote:I felt during their first title run they were likable outside of Draymond but after they won the first title they morphed into a bunch of douchebags. Just like the Spurs loved Bruce Bowen's dirty plays and took on his persona. Kicking people in the face, intentionally injuring people, you know you loved it Doc!
https://youtu.be/FAMnMFTeCdg?t=204
I have always said what Bruce did was dirty it's a pathetic card Warriors fans like you hold on to desperately whenever I criticize Draymond. However, I don't recall Duncan, Parker, Manu and the rest of the team trying to be like Bowen and imitate his personality much like the Warriors have with Draymond. I don't recall any of those guys acting like douchebags, showboating, and taunting others as your Warrior do regularly. I can't imagine Duncan acting like Klay or Curry after scoring a bucket lol. Duncan Spurs were a humble group overall while the Warriors title teams are a complete 180 of them personality wise.
Wow who would have thought different people act differently. I also remember people calling those Spurs title teams some of the most boring teams in the history of the NBA. Also, as great and respected as Tim, Manu and Parker were I dont see or hear any young kids or up and coming players saying they want to be like them or their games. The opposite is true for the Warriors, especially Curry. Curry and this Warriors team captured and influenced the league and next generation of basketball players, something the Spurs titles teams haven't even remotely come close to doing.

Curry wouldn’t get a shot off in the late 80s and early 90s and would barely be a bench spark for most teams.
30 years following this league and never seen anything so laughable as the Warriors.
The only thing laughable is the constant flow of foolish people like you that continue to hate on them, you were probably even in the Curry exposed thread. The old man yelling at clouds vibe is strong, why do people think smaller players than Curry thrived in the 80s and 90s but somehow he was going to be a bench player? You are always on here bragging about how long you have watched basketball, but you and others cant understand how the game have evolved and stubbornly refuse to evolve along with it.
Its been an absolute delight seeing people like you be proven wrong so often in the past, and i hope for even more of it these playoffs.

Kyrie and Love injured in the first finals against the Cavs, then signing KD to win two more and the last against the young Celtics.

Warriors winning 4 is the same as Nash being gifted 2 MVPs back to back.
Even when they had KD they needed an injury to Chris Paul and the refs helping them to get past Houston.
Do you guys realize how bitter you sound?
Every team that wins a championship has experienced some forms of luck, but when you do it consistently over the course of 8 seasons, you cant just claim its all about luck.

its always fun seeing the regulars come out with the same nonsense everytime the Warriors are down. Warriors were lucky to get 4 chips while making 6 finals in 8 years, having their best player get two mvps and setting the regular season wins record.

Just gotta enjoy their salt, it's hilarious when you ask what happened the next year when CP3 played and KD had to sit and they still lost: They create a king size mental gymnastics pretzel with extra salt.

This is true. In the 2 seasons that Warriors won a championship without overwhelming talent advantage by signing KD in their 73-win core, 7 out of the 8 teams they beat have injuries in their key players that's why don't underestimate the power of winning a Playoffs series because of injury.
2015 Playoffs
1st Round against Pelicans
Jrue Holiday - Leg injury
Semis against Grizzlies
Mike Conley - Facial Fracture
Tony Allen - Hamstring injury
NBA Finals against Cavaliers
Kyrie Irving - Knee injury
Kevin Love - Shoulder injury
2022 Playoffs
1st Round against Nuggets
Jamal Murray - ACL Tear
Michael Porter Jr. - Back injury
Semis against Grizzlies
Ja Morant - Knee injury
WCF against Mavericks
Tim Hardaway Jr. - Foot injury
NBA Finals
Jayson Tatum - Wrist Fracture
Robert Williams - Torn Meniscus

It is the playoffs. Guys get injured all the damn time. We already saw Herro, Giannis, and Ja miss time or get seriously hurt. Josh Hart was a game time decision today. He is playing hurt. Memphis was already missing Adams and Clarke. This is just how things go.
As they say, "the best ability is availability."
Christ, we just a few years ago we watched Giannis' knee bend 5 degrees in the wrong direction, not miss a game and drop 50/14/5 blks capping it with a monster oop over the Suns.
You can caveat any ring with injuries as an excuse.
Semi-related fun fact: LeBron James only missed 71 games in his first 15 seasons... and according to (I think it was the Hoops Collective Pod) he has missed LESS games than Zion for their careers. Straight up, 20 year career and less missed games than Zion.

It is why I have had my doubts about the Nuggets coming out of the West. Not that they aren't good to great on any night, but the zebras would eat them alive if they had GSW/LAL or even PHX.

That just so happened to have the most regular season wins in NBA history, two players (Klay and Draymond) with the highest winning percentage in playoff history, the best single-season record in postseason history (16-1), and four rings and six finals appearances in eight seasons across three different team iterations.
They suck so bad.

I do not like NBA refs, but they aren't the sole reason a team wins or loses.
The Warriors were 33-8 at home. So there's a pretty good chance that they can win without help from the refs, even without Draymond.

That bubble series between the Lakers and Nuggets was the most suspect series I’ve ever seen. Refs def got marching orders from Silver to favor the Lakers.

Even if they somehow win this series, they're firmly out of championship contention IMO. The "playoff switch" is the longest standing myth in the NBA, you can't turn it on after a mid regular season.
