despite a3-0 lead, Glenn has been outcoached. I'd say the same if Pop was on the bench

Give Glenn a break, he's been dying to say that all season.
PJ was huge in the 4th, though.

Hahhahhaahaha, this is truly very observant of you. I think you might be right there lol. I really don't see any twist of the leg at all.
Yea this is legit and knowing joel probably tryna outclever the refs so he won't get tossed. He didn't look hurt post game, no grimacing or limping

I have exactly one basketball-related t-shirt these days--a Maxey one I ordered during the Raptors series last year. I'll have no choice but to wear it again tomorrow, and I better get at least 5 f'in compliments.

I think this series is a big positive overall. Nets gambled that they can double Harden/Embiid aggressively & the supporting cast couldn’t beat them. Bad bet mostly because Maxey is an elite shooter now & Tobias /Melton are well suited as a release valve.

I'd petition for at least one gorgeous glowing marble statue on the Parkway of Mike 'Tikka' Muscala in a Heat uniform squaring up for a 3.

It must really bother Cam Thomas that he’s now the second best Cam on his own team.

Our first round opponents seem to take the same approach with Embiid every year. Beat him up, get physical. Result's are the same every time. He gets injured.
Credit Doc tonight for going away from him on offense. He was more of a decoy tonight. I'm not sure how much of him getting roughed up played a role in that, but at least he was in a safer spot on the floor. Brooklyn is going to continue to double and beat him up. He just needs to keep finding the open man, rebound the ball, and make plays on defense.

Good playoff win, but it would have been easier if guys were just faster making that second swing pass after Embiid passes out of the double team. There’s an open corner three available on like 40% of these possessions. That’s not a Doc thing, that’s just a sharing the ball thing. It’s usually Maxey and Melton who are guilty, not getting it to Tobi and PJ.

I guess the less talented team(First rd) feel like it's their best shot to

I have to ask...Was... Embiid flopping all game? Or was he really just getting beaten up physically tonight? He took some hard hits tonight, but nothing that looked devastating. I mean what is the flop to actually fouled ratio with him? He's no doubt...A flopper, and I wish he'd tone it down a bit. I say this with love.

I like this perspective. PJ is absolutely earning his keep averaging 8 rebounds & 3 assists in this series & Tyrese has been electric.
Championship level teams pick up the slack for each other. Bucks blew out the Heat without Giannis & the team lifted Embiid up on a night when he sucked and Harden got a raw deal. You just need to win 4 games in a series & the fact that Maxey & Harris can get us one of those games makes me feel so much better.

Pool Report on the Flagrant Foul 1 called on Joel Embiid in the First Quarter of Tonight’s Philadelphia 76ers at Brooklyn Nets Game
April 20, 2023
The Pool Report interview was conducted by Brian Mahoney (Associated Press) with Crew Chief Tony Brothers following tonight’s 76ers and Nets game.
QUESTION: Why was Joel Embiid given a Flagrant foul 1 for kicking Claxton?
BROTHERS: The contact was deemed unnecessary and based on the point of contact to the leg, it didn’t rise to the level of excessive.
QUESTION: So, you deemed it not to go to a [flagrant foul] 2 based on where the contact was?
BROTHERS: The point of contact dictated that it was only unnecessary contact and not excessive, so yes.
QUESTION: Why was James Harden given a flagrant 2 for his foul on Royce O’Neale?
BROTHERS: Based on the point of contact directly to the groin, it rose to the level of excessive and ejection.

It’s no accident, Biid learned all these moves from watching triple X
