Norman Powell and Westbrook played out if their minds and thet yet got the L at home.

It's looking more possible for the Suns to end this series in 5.
True, but Powell could maintain his heater with a Kawhi return Saturday.

Powell needs a HIGH usage to score anything close to what he scored tonight, and that's not happening with "load management" Kawhi on the court again.

As silly as this sounds, it’s much easier to prepare for the Clippers with Kawhi than without him. Today, I had no idea what to expect. I hope he plays Saturday. The Clippers are deep and at home. They played well and deserve a ton of credit. Westbrook’s defense has been amazing. Every time I thought the Suns would pull away, the Clippers kept coming.

As long as the Suns take care of the ball, I just don’t see them losing many games. KD and Book are just too efficient. Felt like every run for the Clippers started from a turnover. Clean that up, and we should be good going forward. Would be awesome to win Saturday. Let’s go!

Big shot Craig. Seriously that 3 to put us up 6 when we were reeling a bit was huge. If he can hit it in that moment, he can hit it any time, and it’s huge to have the 5th guy be able to hit big shots.

Now if only CP3 can stop being brick city.

Ayton looks scared every time he touches the ball. Imagine Ayton with Bizzy's mindset... On the bright side, Shamet didn't play in second half. Hopefully this trend continues.

Overall bad game by Suns. Not convincing.

I honestly think we looked bad in this game because of Ayton. He just ruined the flow. I don't think I've ever seen NBA player fumble the ball as much as he did. How is it even possible to do it SO OFTEN??

I don’t buy the doom and gloom crap. Sure some people are over the top but watching this team you can see huge deficiencies that if not corrected will undoubtedly lead to our elimination this round or the next. Think about the way this team was playing on its way to the Finals 2 years ago now look at this team play currently. The eye test doesn’t lie. We barely beat the Clippers tonight without PG and Kawahi. That would be like us being down Book and KD. CP3 should retire at seasons end and DA has 0 fire or intensity. The bench is putrid but to be fair missing Payne hurts. Always happy when they win a playoff game but deep down it feels more like a fraud than anything else.

I think part of Ayton's issues are team chemistry since getting Durant. Not trying to make excuses, but he's not the only player on this team seriously struggling to fit in.

Flex also brought up a good comparison for last night. The game Diaw and Amar'e were suspended, we fought and had the lead nearly the entire game but lost in the end. Spurs fans no doubt had concerns about how poorly they played. They wound up blowing us out in game 6 and won the title.

Each game is a battle. The Clippers are no joke. They would also be giving any other team in the league the same type of fits. Their bench destroyed ours so no reason not to have thought they would compete hard with our starters.

The cost of that roster is absolutely INSANE. It was something like $333 million this year after factoring in lux-tax.

Yay!!! Win!!! Homecourt back if needed.

Reading posts the past 5 pages I would have guessed this was a loss.

That's the key thing. We have home court back and didn't lose the game that PG and Kawai weren't playing. If Leonard doesn't play Saturday, then it's imperative we stomp them out to give ourselves 3 chances to close this (especially with the uncertainty if either, or both will return)

Fans realizing this isn’t a true championship team. We can beat the Clippers with their injuries but getting passed a healthy Nuggets team who has been the most consistent team this season is almost near impossible. That’s where our journey likely ends. The chemistry is just not there this season and we don’t have much time to figure it out.

They want to see our team winning by 40 and sitting all our starters by halftime.

Everything less that that is a failure. Who cares if they win or lose on the road lol.

This is a team with championship expectations. Squeaking by a team missing two all stars doesn't exactly instil confidence they're on the right path. A wins a win but they're running out of time to play better. Tougher competition is on the horizon.

That was a great win. Looks like we’re winning this in 5 whether Kawhi plays or not.

This is the freaking playoffs. Nothing will come easy, no matter who is on the court. Suns haven’t had a ton of time together on the court with KD, so to get these wins in tight games will only help. We need CP3 to hit shots (which he will) and DA to play better.

I hope you are right but this isn’t 20-21 season where Nuggets were without Murray & Porter. Also, they added KCP, Brown, J. Green, Jordan (if Jokic gets in foul trouble) and if they had something to play for last month they could easily been the only 60 win team. They’ve have been one if not the most complete team this season with no significant injuries. Other years they didn’t scare me but this year feels different.

Not one person on their team scares me. Not even Jokic. He’s a stat padder. They have no defense. Not one of them can guard Booker or KD.
Put it this way. If the Lakers had lost to Minnesota and gotten the 8th seed. I would pick lakers in 6 or 7

I agree the Nuggets are better with Murray and Michael Porter. As Xin Varlock notes, the MVP award should just be given to Jamal Murray every year (iykyk :D ). That said, the Nuggets, unless things have changed, do not play defense.

I just hope the Suns get that far
and I don't care how much Booker and Durant play. Just win and advance. If the Suns are blown out in a game, don't play them needlessly

Ran into this. I had canceled Bally after the regular season ended cause I thought every playoff game was on Sling cable.

The NBA schedule said that the Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers game on Thursday night was on NBA TV and Bally Sports Arizona in Phoenix.
Except when Suns fans in Phoenix went to watch the game, they discovered that it was blacked out on NBA TV in Phoenix, leaving Bally Sports Arizona as the lone viewing option for Game 3 of the series.
