He seems like a good coach to me, but why do the Raptors suck?

I think it's because Ujiri is high sniffing himself and gone too far with the length over skill obsession at every decision fork. It's a talented roster but epitome of "less than the sum of its parts".

I'd do it in a millisecond. Hell, I'd make the change now if we could.

Good point. Everything about that organization has been overwhelmingly praised. Nurse, Masai, Siakim, Barnes, OG... but it wasn't much of a team.

1000% be in on Nurse, hopefully he holds out knowing that teams will be clamouring for him once the playoffs end.

Finally the Raptors can go back to being a team I never have to think about again. As nature intended.

I guess we need to decide if it's better to go from a Doc to a Nurse.

If the Suns don't win the chip i think Monty Williams is gonna be in the market too.

There are some really good coaches who are gonna be available this off season

Nurse to the Rockets and we keep Cassell to eventually replace Rivers is the best case there.

Take the 'eventually' out and I'd be fine with that.

Lack of top end talent?

They've a lot of good pieces that most contenders would love to have, but when you don't have a top-20 player in the league on the roster, you can't compete.

I imagine that play style defensively takes it's toll and probably wears on guys.

Raptors certainly have more talent than the Hawks and you could argue the Heat. They are built for the modern NBA and still struggled to make the playoffs. Nurse is a solid coach but gets totally overrated . Kawhi carried that finals team, we all seen it. Fun Guy was an absolute machine that year

They have a bunch of third stars (OG, Siakam, Barnes), some really good role players (Trent, Boucher, Poeltl), and their main creator is honestly trash (FVV). They are capable of winning any given game, but they are not really able to win a series against any contender. Lean too much on guys who are being asked to do more than they're capable of doing. Nurse is probably not absolved of sin, but the team, while talented, is flawed.

They finished in pretty much the same spot as those teams. Bam and Jimmy are better than anyone on that team. As is Trae.

Toronto has some awesome pieces, but you can't win without top end talent. They overachieved previously because of coaching.

Snyder and Spo are also pretty damn good coaches.

No shooting in that starting lineup, Poeltl, Barnes and Siakam can't shoot from 3 at all. No bench either, Nurse over achieved the last two years.
