Haha yep, like clockwork!

Come on guys. Yeah Embiid falls down a lot, yea he gets injuries in the PO, yeah he cried once in the PO. But no he doesn’t injure himself constantly because he flops and cries. Last year Siakam elbowed him in the face, same with Fultz in 2020, this thing was contesting a Cam Johnson layup at the rim, etc.

It’s kinda fun—if you talk about basketball and process what’s happening on the court you can actually learn more about the game, no rule that says you just have to grunt the same insults over and over again.

A real quote by a play by play announcer about Joel Embiid. For every 6 players he hurts, he’s bound to do something to himself playing like that.

Embiid living rent free in every Raptors fans head.

"hurt himself", like Siakam did last year elbowing him in the face?

ohh thats his mcl, he can try to play through it, but hes very vulnerable to a bigger injury. IDK if he should risk it unless the nets force game 7.

Just out of curiosity are you doctor? How do you know so much about knees lol.

I played college/ professionally, had every knee injury and coach for almost 10 years now and I did my undergrad in kinesiology. I watched Joel the first couple years he played in America live, it’s crazy to me how good he’s gotten so fast

Yeah... I dunno bud, I don't see it.

Watch it in .25 speed.

Definitely wraps embiid's legs at the 8-9sec mark.

Pathetic take, it's completely inadvertent contact any wrap is due to the guy falling down and lasts minimal time, nothing intentional, stop this

Looks like a rest day, as he could return for game 5 if needed. Might as well make it a few days off.

On that note, go Atlanta, whoop dat Boston azz and make the series as long as possible!

Eh, I don't enjoy watching that flopping ogre crybaby play anyway

"omg u cant be serisous injuries are a big deal ur bad person!"

He's a multimillionaire with a sprain, just like most of us except for the money. We all had sprains, they kind of hurt but it's nothing serious. Chucking yourself to the floor on every play has consequences. He is reckless out there and I'd rather he get injured than someone who just happens to be next to his bowling pin ass.

It is a rare situation but the game as a whole is actually much better without him in it, he detracts from the experience.

This is a blessing in disguise.
Imagine if healthy Embiid got eliminated in round 2 and Jokic wins championship.
OP would probably slash his wrists. Now at least he has someone else to blame. Again.

If that's the case, wasn't he also vulnerable to a bigger injury when he kept playing on it in game 3?
if so, isn't this negligent by the 76ers medical team?

I mean, he kept playing and eventually went to the lockeroom, presumably he's with his trainers there, then eventualy he comes back to play. isn't that dangerous, especially for a guy like Embiid and especially considering the very low stakes of this game and how good the 76ers are without him

am i wrong?

emotion and strategy sometimes trumps medical practice right? Theyre almost incentiviced to lose the next game to give themselves more time, or hope atlanta wins another game against boston.

Ah gotcha, yeah he started when he was 16, which is ridiculous. Biggest limiting factor ofcourse is health.

Joking aside. I hope Embiid is healthy for the playoffs sucks being injured. Jokic has an injury so is Giannis. MVP is cursed

Saying Cam Johnson did anything to intentionally injure Embiid derailed this thread. Even at .25 speed it is impossible to tell what control Johnson had as he went to the floor because i cant see what wouldnt be considered involuntary control here. Keep in mind Johnson has never been viewed as a dirty player from what i can remember and i dont think he deserves a lable now.

My main issue with the nets are too small. So now resorting to playing dirty/physical. But why don’t other teams gang up on giannis (he’s a very poor free throw shooter) rough him up. Miami is just as small as the nets. Bring in udonis for cheap fouls (when Giannis is back)

Why doesn’t Minnesota use cheap fouls on Jokic to rough him up. There is double teaming and there is holding pushing embiid/contact. Jokic doesn’t get that contact for a basic free throw waits for the rebound like embiid show smoosh end of the game.

Some of these are really unbelievable

I had no idea Royce O'Neale was that strong. Man did he just clobber Embiid in that first play. I was shocked Embiid only flew 10 feet. Should have flew 20 feet with that kind of impact, and Embiid being as light as a feather as he is and all.

Maybe if he didn't dive to the floor 50 times a game his knees would be better.

This is obviously a rest day.

He played the rest of the game. His tests all came back clean.

Embiid is just getting a day off in the playoffs which he needs because he has 0 stamina and throws himself into players and the ground every game as the most dangerous players and cheater in the NBA and they're up 3-0.

No one actually believes he has an injury worth missing a game over.

Have you ever consider that teams are just as physical with Giannis and Jokic or moreso than Embiid but you don't see it because they're not the worst floppers in the NBA nor are they injury prone?

For what it's worth I think it's smart to just take the day off when you're up 3-0 against the Nets here for the 76ers.

The Nets have shown they simply can't score.

The 76ers should still be able to close this one out today without much difficulty as they still have more talent and they'll just play Harden/Maxey ball on offense.
