Happy we didn't trade Tobias for some role player because of 'fit'. Tobias has brought it so far in the playoffs

Hopefully this series increased Tobias trade value.

I have no idea why Doc never tries Reed with Embiid.

He'd honestly be a great player to have at $15 mil/year.

I'd re-sign him to something like that if we don't trade him next year.

Always nice to see a short-cutting superteam bust, though. This was supposed to be their year again, everyone healthy and re-focused, and then after all the star drama it's 4 and out in April. Satisfying to see that ending.

So how much money will it take for Paul Reed to re-sign?

Harris is better than Maxey, sorry but he is, Maxey sucks against the best defensive teams and when Embiid is not triple teamed, no coincidence he sucks so much against Celtics, they are maybe the smartest defensive team out there. I prefer Harris, he at least provides more size, rebounding and yes defense. Maxey is better for the Regular Season.

He's a restricted FA, so basically the qualifying offer: 2 millions

You don't think he'll get an offer elsewhere that we'll have to match? In the MLE range? Would love it if we could sign him to another team friendly deal for 3-4 years.

I love Reed and i want this team to keep him but no, i don't think he's gonna get the MLE range. It's a dumb gamble unless a team want to screw us on purpose

I hope it turns out this way and he flies under the radar in the FA so we're able to re-sign him for cheap.

He always plays well in the first round of the playoffs. It's the second round when he tends to disappear.

Most role players do that against tougher opponents.

The issue with him is he was previously sold to us as a star, but he's actually just a really good role player. Always has been.

For now Harris is more stable playoff contributor.

But maxey is getting more servicable as defender. Still a bad defender but that comes with experience. Harris was a below average defender when he came to sixers. Defense comes with effort and experience. Something maxey will get better.

Maxey is simply a more explosive offensive option now he’s proven 2 years in a row 40% plus 3 point shooting. Maxey bailed sixers out in game 3 down the stretch. Maxey won us game 6 vs hawks 2 years ago as rookie.

I can’t remember an actual playoff game Harris actually “won” for us. Harris is steady. Good. Not great. That’s a 15 million dollar a year player. Like how Marcus smart is paid.

15-18 million range.

Munchkins like Maxey need to be absolutely elite offensively to make it work against the elite teams. But he is not an elite playmaker, and his scoring game is not very diverse. Obviously at the right price he is very useful, but guys like him are offered the max or near max and that's what caps your team's ceiling.

I'm not sure what Maxey has to do with Trading Tobias. I don't disagree with your Maxey take. I like him, but I'd trade him for the right deal.

I don't know, people focus too much on Harris but I think we have bigger issues to worry about.
